If you want our NHS to be ended and replaced by a private health scheme then this is where your vote should go.

The NHS is for sale if the Tories win. You won't take it from me? Take it from former Tory Prime Minister John Major.

"The NHS would be as safe as a pet hamster in the presence of a hungry python if Boris Johnson, Michael Gove & Iain Duncan-Smith rose to power following Brexit."

"The study found 5 key welfare policies - universal credit rollout, increases in benefit sanctions, the bedroom tax, benefits freeze and the withdrawal of disability benefits – had “sizeable and significant effects” in pushing up demand for food parcels"

Read yesterday that the Government has done another turn around and is stopping a large number Drs from abroad coming into the country and working for the NHS. They had previously agreed they could come here it would help with our shortage of Drs. but now have changed heir minds. Only briefly scanned the article.

Anne Milton..

Another Tory leaving.

They simply don’t recognise what the Tory party has become.

Scary isn’t it?

The Tories are now hard right extremists.

It is with great sadness that I am today announcing my decision to stand down as Member of Parliament for Runnymede & Weybridge at the forthcoming General Election.
My letter to the constituents I have served for 22 years:

The economy and lies

It is truly astounding that the Tories and their media lackeys managed to convince the British public that the £900Bn National Debt was a huge concern in 2010, but now that it’s almost doubled to £1.7 Trillion under the Tories, it’s apparently no longer a problem at all.

shock WWM2 Dozens of bullying posts from you. Are these supposed to sway people's minds? Just makes me want to do the opposite.

lemongrove Tue 05-Nov-19 17:07:39

Sparklefizz .....yes, this sort of blanket bombing of threads with quotes from uncle tom cobbley and all has the same effect on most people, so it’s counter productive in the end.

MaizieD Tue 05-Nov-19 17:15:17

Strange conceptof 'bullying', sparklefizz hmm

lemongrove- how could you vote for someone who intends to make your grandchildren retire at 75 sad

jura2 Tue 05-Nov-19 17:17:57

there is a good reason why so many of the intelligent, middle of the road, caring Tories are leaving. They can see what is happening from the inside- and they can't stand by it or allow themselves to be part responsible for the consequences.

I can't blame them - for sure.

People like that, who are not extremists of the right wing or the left wing, and who now believe (although some of them were fooled into voting leave in 2016) that the UK will always do better and be better if we remain in the UK , these people, these good patriotic people, will vote for the Liberal Democrats.

notanan2 Tue 05-Nov-19 19:12:44

If the Lib Dems treated the GA like a GA not a Brexit vote, and werent on the woke train (I am NOT a CisWoman or a non-male!) then they probably could do quite well this time round, but unfortunately...

varian Tue 05-Nov-19 19:25:33

What's a GA?

notanan2 Tue 05-Nov-19 19:43:40

Sorry GE

In the 2015 general election the Tories promised to build 200,000 affordable started homes for first time buyers.

How many have been built? -NONE

So much for empty meaningless promises from the lying Tories.

mcem Wed 06-Nov-19 13:04:03

WWmk2 I believe you should double-check that.
It isn't what I've read.

CraftyGranny Wed 06-Nov-19 13:55:40

WW2. Has he been accused of this terrible act because he is a Tory?. OMG. You are unbelievable. shock
Look forward to your response

Whitewavemark2 Wed 06-Nov-19 14:02:19

I would like to apologise for my wording 12.10. I should have said

Tory Welsh Secretary has resigned because he was found to have lied when he said he knew nothing about Ross England’s involvement in the sabotage of a rape trial

I shall be more careful next time.

whitewave you would like to apologise for your wording.

Ok we forgive you. How about you forgive JRM when he apologised.

jura2 Wed 06-Nov-19 14:48:56

No, because his apology was totally insincere- clearly.
