What a pity that people feel the need to start political campaigning on Gransnet. Nothing wrong with political discussion but this sort of posting is a step too far on this site.

MawB Wed 06-Nov-19 20:47:46

confused ???

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 20:55:42

I think gangy5 means the constant barrage of information
And disinformation, links, quotes and so on, amount of threads started and so on (on behalf of Labour) that becomes
More like active campaigning than simply posting a few facts and opinions.
It’s obviously allowed, but gets very tedious.

gangy5 Wed 06-Nov-19 21:09:12

Well said lemongrove that is exactly what I mean

Anniebach Wed 06-Nov-19 21:14:32

I agree

EllanVannin Wed 06-Nov-19 21:17:00

I won't say anything in case I'm reported----AGAIN!

That goes for other threads.Someone sucks !!

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 21:17:05

......and to think there are five weeks of this to go!?

Anniebach Wed 06-Nov-19 21:20:03

Wish Megan and Harry would pop up with a speech ?

paintingthetownred Wed 06-Nov-19 21:22:59

This is one of the most decisive elections in the past hundred years. It would be really sad if gransnetters had nothing to say about it.

lemongrove Wed 06-Nov-19 21:29:02

Annie be careful what you wish for ?

Anniebach Wed 06-Nov-19 21:29:56

Lemon ?

gangy5 Thu 07-Nov-19 08:09:28

I am sure paintingthetownred we would all agree with you and it is important that we discuss this election. The problem is that we have certain posters on here who seem to think they're in an elevated position and that their views are the only correct ones. I for one am sick of hearing from them as I'm sure many others are.

MawB Thu 07-Nov-19 08:10:12

Then ignore them!

Whitewavemark2 Thu 07-Nov-19 08:38:20

Perhaps the best thing to do would signal on the headline of the OP. Then all these snowflakes can try to avoid opening or reading them.

I won’t hold my breath though, as I suspect they prefer to sit on the side moaning, without actually contributing anything to the debate.

GracesGranMK3 Thu 07-Nov-19 09:06:24

Why do some people think it's their job to define what may be on GN. As has been said before, if you don't like it don't go there. I never look at the games threads. It's not that difficult.

It's a election. You may not want information but others do. Dictating to others is such a poor level of discussion and very bad manners.

lemongrove Thu 07-Nov-19 09:08:12

I wouldn’t use GN as a source of information ?
The amount of fake news is astounding!

Whitewavemark2 Thu 07-Nov-19 09:10:01

Then call it out lemon with the correct information.

Simples

But I suspect that is just another throw away remark with nothing to back it which is your stock in trade.

lemongrove Thu 07-Nov-19 09:15:06

WWM2......you accused Alun Cairns of rape yesterday, and many posts from you of James Cleverly running away from an interview by Kate Birley.
Now, I haven’t found out yet about the interview and empty chairing, but am waiting for your next gaffe.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 07-Nov-19 09:20:27

I apologised as soon as realised my error, with regard to Cairns.

With regard to Cleverly I simply quoted what I saw with my own eyes.

Now gg13 and I are in conversation about that Anne what actually happened. She is presenting further evidence and I am talking about it with her.

That is how it works.

So stop throwing away silly remarks and have a conversation about stuff.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 07-Nov-19 09:21:02

Not sure where Anne came from ?

GracesGranMK3 Thu 07-Nov-19 09:36:14

I wouldn’t use GN as a source of information ? The amount of fake news is astounding!

I wouldn't use it as my only source of information but I think most of us know who we can trust and who just spouts their prejudices.

Urmstongran Thu 07-Nov-19 09:53:17

That’ll be most of us on the political threads then GGmk3
?

GracesGranMK3 Thu 07-Nov-19 09:56:47

But you recognise them Urmstongran, don't you? We aren't, at least most of us aren't, stupid and we check anything we distrust and ignore blind prejudice.

Callistemon Thu 07-Nov-19 11:31:54

Princess Anne Whitewave? grin

Anniebach [

I see that the Royal Family are having a respite at the moment but one tried to creep into the discussion anyway!

Tooting29 Thu 07-Nov-19 16:41:35

WWM2 was your comment at 8.10 about snowflakes really necessary?
