Due to the short notice of the GE I will be unable to vote at all. As soon as I heard the date I applied for a postal vote, as I was travelling to Australia on 20th November. When I left it hadn’t arrived, and I didn’t even know who the candidates were. I have been deprived of my right to vote.

I could be wrong, Callistemon, but I just took that poster to be quoting from the Labour manifesto, after the claim that it wasn't in it (I have no idea if it was or not).
I know there was no formatting to suggest that, but that was how I took it.

This may be true but in this case nobody can say anything or plan anything or have any policies at all because the sword of brexit hangs over us.

I believe that the Labour Party has done its honest best to cost all its Policies within the uncertainty of brexit and that their policies demonstrate the kind of morals and principles they have. I know Jeremy Corbin is a decent and honest man who has been very wronged by the press which is owned by tory billionaires and the BBC which has become palpably pro Johnson much to its shame.

Please vote for someone! Democracy is so important - though, sadly, I will be voting against the party I most dislike and distrust - tactical voting. We need a fair voting system - then we would have no need for tactical voting and could vote for our preferred party - e.g. for many of us that might be the Greens, but in most constituencies that looks like a wasted vote in our first past the post unfair voting system. But lets vote anyway - democracy needs us to do that.

If, as looks likely, the Labour Party do not win a majority, do you think the more fair minded LP members might at long last support electoral reform?

It came directly from the LP Manifesto. I recognise the passage because I've read it.

The economy is wrecked at the moment - it's run entirely for the benefit of shareholders, and if BJ gets back in, what's left in the public sector (i.e. owned by us) will be sold off as well. You may disagree with Corbyn's policies (although many economists believe that we need the infrastructural investment and deprivatisation that he is proposing, not to mention tax on the big corporations that pay none) but please don't fall for the 'association with terrorists' line. This is simply not credible. If you spend your life trying to end conflict, you will have to share platforms with a few unsavoury people. The Good Friday agreement was achieved by sitting down and talking, and both Catholic and Protestant paramilitaries were visited in prison. (And remember Blair embracing Khadafi.) The fact that Corbyn politely referred to some members of Hamas as 'our friends', when he was introducing them at a peace conference hardly makes him a close associate of theirs - what should he have said? How do you prevent violence and terrorism if you never bring peopletogether and get them talking?

If you feel that all the parties standing are useless, then don't vote.

I certainly will vote and it will be for Labour.

Many people on here have moaned about the unfairness of the position the WASPI women find themselves in. Many have also complained about the dire situation with regard to the NHS, education, public transport, housing, employment, productivity, etc, etc. And now we learn that the cost of running down all our services has resulted in greater knock-on costs, since government borrowing is now far higher than it ever was.

If you want more of the same (I don't believe for a moment that the Conservatives' sudden conversion to the notion of fairness and justice will be an enduring one), then go ahead, and vote for the current government - or please yourselves and remove yourselves from the whole process and don't vote. But don't complain if you're not happy with the outcome.

If you are dissatisfied with the current government's performance, but are not persuaded by Labour, vote for one of the other parties and at least there is some hope that our public services and our infrastructure in general can be rescued, and the health and morale of our country given some chance of being restored.
