They reckon a huge majority for the tories!

EllanVannin Thu 12-Dec-19 22:40:21

It's those who voted Brexit who are to blame. He'll only win because of that, nothing else.

EllanVannin Thu 12-Dec-19 22:40:52

Reap what you sow !!

Anniebach Thu 12-Dec-19 22:41:55

It is more than Brexit

Oopsminty Thu 12-Dec-19 22:43:28

Hmm. Not too sure about that.

Why have the Lib Dems appear to have done so badly? Surely all those millions of Remainers should have voted for them?

MerylStreep Thu 12-Dec-19 22:45:36

Dragonfly
What has a ( maybe) no deal Brexit got to do with moving abroad?
We bought a house in a country that wasn't in the eu. There is a world outside the eu, you know.

merlotgran Thu 12-Dec-19 22:47:16

I wish I'd bought another bottle of wine now. Feel like staying up after all. grin

Missfoodlove Thu 12-Dec-19 22:47:46

Look at how the pound is climbing!!

Urmstongran Thu 12-Dec-19 22:48:56

The graph just now on Sky News showing the pound surge!

MerylStreep Thu 12-Dec-19 22:49:30

I don't think I've ever heard a prominent Labour Party member, Alan Johnson, being so scathing about a leader.
He was lived ?

lemongrove Thu 12-Dec-19 22:50:16

Yes, the £ is soaring! ?

NfkDumpling Thu 12-Dec-19 22:51:37

Does this mean the world wants us out of Europe?!!

Doodle Thu 12-Dec-19 22:52:29

Good. Let’s hope it continues.

Doodle Thu 12-Dec-19 22:52:49

Sorry that’s to lemon

jo1book Thu 12-Dec-19 22:52:59

This is the best thing to happen (long-term) for the Labour Party,
They need to cleanse themselves of that little
Red twit of a leader and Momentum (which will die a death).
Corbyn has ruined the LP and made it unelectable.
Where have all the Red Grans gone?

inkcog Thu 12-Dec-19 22:55:54

I'm not a red or a gran but I care about people suffering. If these exit polls are correct, the widening gap between haves and have nots will be a gulf. So sad.

kittylester Thu 12-Dec-19 22:55:56

Jeremy Corbyn lost this election.

grandad1943 a whole new labour party would be a wonderful thing - so long as it's a centrist party.

MerylStreep Thu 12-Dec-19 22:56:48

Desdemona
In answer to your question Re private health care, no.
I imagine that goes for the millions of ordinary working folk who voted conservative.

Labaik Thu 12-Dec-19 22:57:10

I don't like Corbyn; never have. But he's a far more decent person than the man who is set to be our PM for the next 5 years...if those court cases don't catch up with him....

Missfoodlove Thu 12-Dec-19 22:57:20

It’s not over yet...... so nerve wracking.
Corbyn and Comrade McDonnell are history hopefully.

Buffybee Thu 12-Dec-19 22:57:49

I'm absolutely overjoyed and over the Moon?
The people have spoken!

MerylStreep Thu 12-Dec-19 22:59:11

NfkDumpling
Yes, the world does want us out of the eu. They know we can do good deals without the shackles that the eu impose.

MerylStreep Thu 12-Dec-19 23:01:18

Not much input from certain posters. Shhhh.

inkcog Thu 12-Dec-19 23:05:11

No point being unpleasant. I'm sure we have all had a belly full,

Chestnut Thu 12-Dec-19 23:05:35

A worrying development (if the poll is correct) is that the SNP have gone up from 35 seats to 55 seats. That is much too high in proportion to the number of voters which is only about 1.5 million people. They have too many MPs!

silverlining48 Thu 12-Dec-19 23:05:54

I am off to bed, feeling sad and even more worried. I have never heard so many people when interviewed saying they were voting Tory for the first time, even though they didn’t trust Boris Johnson. What’s that about? There’s nought so queer as folk. We will all have to pay dear for this.
