My half Spanish, half British granddaughter has just finished her first term at a British University and she asked me this morning what does this mean for her and her Spanish boyfriend who is with her here working in the care sector. I have no answers but tried to stay positive.

EV I thought Boris was humble in his appreciation of people who have loaned him their vote. He is not Mrs. May. I honestly think Boris will endorse a ‘One Nation’ approach and Liverpool may yet warm to his policies.

Annie, you have said countless times that Corbyn would take us back to the 1983 election. How right you were. I think people need to understand that the vast majority simply don’t want the far left, bordering on communism kind of politics. I was afraid if Corbyn took power that we would be extremely vulnerable in the world, with basically no defence policy, and a leader who associates with terrorists. A frightening thought.

A hung Parliament would have been dispiriting.

Rebecca Long Bailey has been mooted for next Labour leader Annie. I think she would be another disaster for the Labour Party. Labour need to look closely at their policies and move back to the centre left in my opinion Annie. Then they would be a credible opposition.
