Wow!

All the pomp and pageantry. Very impressive.

The Fixed Term Parliament Act will be axed.
Corbyn looked as though he’d sucked a lemon.

#QueenSpeech Bojo Accused Of 'Breaking Promises' On Minimum Wage Hike

Boris Johnson stands accused of rowing back on his pledge to hike the minimum wage to £10.50.

#ToryLies

Even this from the sainted John Crace in the Guardian today:

“On the walk from the Commons to the Lords, Boris Johnson repeatedly tried to engage the Labour leader in small talk. Corbyn looked as if he was about to be physically sick, walking jerkily like a broken cyborg, his head fixed rigidly ahead as he steadfastly avoided any conversation. It was petty and peevish, but the best he could manage under the circumstances.”

He should have resigned immediately and with some grace.
Churlish unpleasant man.

Anniebach Thu 19-Dec-19 22:14:51

It was petty and embarrassing, he had Diane Abbott to walk back with , Johnson, Corbyn, Abbott.

Reminded of when he was asked a question by a female reporter, ‘stop harassing me’ then he hid behind a glass door.

Boris was at Richard Murdoch's Christmas party on Monday.

Paying back all the free lies and propaganda provided by the Aussie multi millionaire.

Urmstongran Thu 19-Dec-19 22:23:04

Totally graceless in defeat.

GagaJo Thu 19-Dec-19 22:23:25

Really Anniebach? A Tory supporter making comments about someone hiding from the press? OH THE IRONY!!!!

Anyone else read about DWP removes option for claimants to choose whether work assessment outcomes are reported to GPs? Another attempt to undermine the rights of a vulnerable group. Election less than a week old and ALREADY attacking vulnerable groups.

Oh you must all be SO proud.

GagaJo Thu 19-Dec-19 22:24:08

Better than hiding in a fridge and being incapable of doing a TV interview. Coward.

Urmstongran Thu 19-Dec-19 22:30:22

The unhinged hyperbole of the Remainer grassroots is matched only by its clinical hypocrisy. In particular, those who usually love to virtue-signal about minority rights are in disgusted denial about the fact that their views are no longer mainstream.

Slowly but surely they will get used to it because the result speaks volumes.

JenniferEccles Thu 19-Dec-19 22:30:59

Boris did not hide anywhere.
He went into the fridge as he was joining an early morning milk round.

The tv reporter tried to ambush him egged on by Piers Morgan.

Urmstonegran, I am so left-wing/socialist, my views have NEVER been popular. Better a caring virtue signaller than a selfish Boomer, only concerned with their own pocket.

I've NEVER lived under a socialist government (my age). This isn't new to me. No need to get used to it.

My principals aren't based on my pocket. I'm financially better off under the Tory jack boot, ironically. Not that that is my aim. I prefer to support the vulnerable in society.

Anniebach Thu 19-Dec-19 22:52:32

You were born after the 70’s, explains much Gagajo

Not sure where you got this info Annie. I feel just the same, and I shall be 69 in the New Year.

For all people may comment on JC's lack of interaction with BJ, it was JC who actually noticed that someone was either about to trip over something or bump into something and warn them. He then grimaced in concern for said person. Credit where credit is due.

Urmstonegran, I am so left-wing/socialist, my views have NEVER been popular

Seems the election result certainly bears that out.

Am I right GagaJo that you’re off to work in China because you’ll be paid what you’re worth there? If so, how does that fit with the very worthy comments in you last post?

Jabberwok Fri 20-Dec-19 16:31:00

China?! The cradle of democracy and human rights!!!! Re education camps come to mind entirely for Muslims! Wow, are they ALL terrorists?!!!
