Was taken from Sandringham to Edward 7th hospital ,London for observation in relation to a pre existing condition.

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 12:44:38

So Edward was gay because someone knows someone who said he was, so not a rumour !

SirChenjin Sun 22-Dec-19 12:48:59

I’m not fussed if you believe it or not Annie, really I’m not.

Pollyj Sun 22-Dec-19 12:58:19

Even then people winced at the offensiveness of his ‘jokes’.

Pollyj Sun 22-Dec-19 13:02:38

I agree. No idea why people worship the royals. Maybe just celebrity culture? Why are we, the public, footing the bill for the. Mansion Harry wants to live in? One example. They are all multi millionaires and many of our own children can’t even afford their rent. The duke won’t be lying in a corridor waiting for a bed - why not if our own parents have to? I wish him no personal ill will, but do get tired of the fawning over them.

Dareyouto Sun 22-Dec-19 13:04:35

Well said but I’m sorry to say I don’t hold the royals in much esteem as it is. Phil is probably still hoping that he comes back as a virus!

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 13:12:28

Is wishing someone well fawning ?

Sparklefizz Sun 22-Dec-19 13:19:05

I still maintain that the Plantagenets should be on the throne!

Why?

Callistemon, am I being dense...thirteen month pregnancy?

Must get ready to deliver pressies and Carol Service. NY resolution. .limit social media!

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 13:29:53

Why can so many not see past a person wealth ?

SirChenjin Sun 22-Dec-19 13:37:44

Because in this case the wealth is not self-generated - it relies on taxpayers shoring up their lifestyles, and what is inherited hasn’t been made by the family but is the result of previous generations land grabbing and dirt dealings. That extreme wealth gives them a privileged lifestyle that is not afforded to anyone else at a time when there are people living on the streets within spitting distance of their palaces. It’s obscene (to me).

phoenix Sun 22-Dec-19 13:44:26

Please can someone explain the "13 month pregnancy" post for me?

TIA

inkcog Sun 22-Dec-19 13:44:57

wealth = OK

nice person= OK

nasty, racist person+ wealth = not OK

Jabberwok Sun 22-Dec-19 13:50:15

Prince Harry's refurbishments were paid for out of the Queens privy purse, money she was allocated. Only she and Prince Phillip are recipients of the privy purse these days, other royals don't get anything any more. The P of W gets his income from The Dutchy of Cornwall, which also supports both his sons and their families. Other royals pay for themselves or HM supports them if she sees fit as in the case of Prince Harry. The tax payer does not pay for school fees or private health or any personal things unless it's in the interests of the state.
Still waiting to hear about this long term mistress!!!

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 13:56:53

So the Windsors are responsible for the actions of their ancestors ?

SirChenjin Sun 22-Dec-19 13:58:10

Point to where I specifically said that Annie

Jabberwok Sun 22-Dec-19 13:58:15

I'm still wondering about that phoenix! I'm very interested in history, but that episode seems to have passed me by! All I can think of is Mary 1st and her phantom pregnancy, but she was a Tudor not a Plantagenet as was claimed by the poster (the pregnancy that is!) So I'm not sure!!

Anniebach Sun 22-Dec-19 14:00:56

SirChen I really don’t want to shock you but you should know buggery did take place in private schools and childrens
homes , the abusers claimed the abused ‘were begging for it’

Jabberwok Sun 22-Dec-19 14:03:54

You certainly implied it!

SirChenjin Sun 22-Dec-19 14:11:25

Buggery?! What on Earth are you talking about Annie?!

I implied nothing of the sort Jabberwock but if you prefer to twist my post to fit the story in your head then knock yourself out.

SirChenjin Sun 22-Dec-19 14:12:07

Prince Charles has been moving in the right direction despite his family's culture of killing live animals for fun, and regarding foie gras as edible.

inkcog Sun 22-Dec-19 14:27:58

What? This is madness. Bring back Mary Berry.

SirChenjin Sun 22-Dec-19 14:58:27

Mary Berry would never tolerate buggery

merlotgran Sun 22-Dec-19 15:14:59

I've only just looked in on this thread again. I'm another one wondering about the 13 months pregnancy. confused

MissAdventure Sun 22-Dec-19 15:20:52

SirCh
That Mary Berry comment has made my day! grin
