No, I'm not an expert by any means, but what I do know is that nurses aren't experts. They're trained to nurse, not be experts in medicines or diagnoses. As a diabetic, I do have some experience of being on the receiving end of cr*p advice form nurses.

You will have seen that I was asked if I had seen a Tonic Clinic seizure. Which I responded that I had when I was nursing, that was all.
If you can find where I have offered any medical advice on this thread, I would be pleased if you would show me.

Joelsnan twice (in response to my posts about epilepsy meds) you have said ‘what happens if people emigrate’ or if there is a ‘shortage of a particular brand’. And also a post along the lines of there are plenty of other medicine manufacturers in the world and they may well be cheaper.

If you were not suggesting brand swapping what were you saying?

'Leaving' doesn't alter a thing. You'd love it if we'd all shut up so that you don't have to face up to the consequences of your choice. But some of us will be there to keep reminding you of them; however much you would prefer not to know.

If it was genuine then I apologise joelsnan - I should have only responded to ‘still no meds problems’ anamanious who was clearly shit stirring.

No I won’t shut up about the issues around medication or things like cancer treatment isotopes. The government doesn’t even seem to understand the issues. If I had any confidence that they are capable to negotiating a deal in 11 months then maybe I would feel more confident. No deal would be a disaster and would lead to deaths.

And I won’t shut up about the rise of the far right either. Unfortunately there seems to have been a lot of unpleasant racist and xenophobic incidents in London associated with Brexit celebrations - even if the media were out looking for them - they didn’t have to look very far.

I just cannot comprehend how the OP can say that leaving the EU reminds me of the Berlin Wall coming down. As Callistemon said, it feels distinctly like a wall going UP.

Also, I think those of us who are feeling pretty "down" about leaving the EU are not all pessimists as ananimous thinks. If anything, I'm a realist, often an optimist and comfortable with that. Some people who voted remain are definitely optimists (my daughter is one). These facts don't mean you stop thinking though! If you are an optimist but accidentally chop of your arm with a chain saw and it can't be sewn back on you would be very odd to think, "great, I can have a shiny new prosthetic arm", you will grieve the loss of the arm you once had. This doesn't mean you are a pessimist! Just think about it!

Why do remainers get so annoyed when leavers celebrate leaving the EU?
Some of them have been waiting years for this moment, of course they’re going to celebrate! Why shouldn’t they?
And all this ‘we’re not going away, we’re going to hold you to account’ crap, just makes these remainers sound so bitter & twisted I actually feel sorry for them. Have they really got nothing else to worry about?
