Why is his private life so important to everyone he is a lovely man and shouldn't have to explain himself to the media if he was the man next door would anyone be bothered I doubt it.
There were 6 of them sitting chatting. Piers started the conversation abut PS. Joan said she hadn't been in the UK recently and couldn't understand why PS had suddenly come out, when everyone in the industry had known about it for years. Then Perez Hilton started to tell her the reason was there have been rumours of inappropriateness. They were swiftly shut down by Kelly Osborne and Piers.
Apparently Joan Collins (now 86y can you believe) said this morning that everyone in the business knew P.S. was gay for years and wondered why he chooses now to make it known?
You remember right trisher but it’s not just any old double standards and prejudice is it, it’s good old GN misogynistic double standards and prejudice ?
trisher, with all due respect, I believe the young man was known to PS from the age of 10 and was in an employee, an imbalance of power. Indeed , perhaps that is the common thread. I don't know, and we don't know. This " coming out" thing is a load of old nonsense though.
I seem to remember lots of posts from some on GN who claimed a 17 year old knew what she was doing (even though she claimed a convicted paedophile had groomed her). Apparently an 18 year old man isn't able to decide for himself and must have been groomed (even though he hasn't actually said anything). The double standards and prejudice on GN never cease to amaze me.
One of my best friends had a civil partnership with a man who was over 30 years younger than him. He wasn't a "dirty old man". They were happier than most people I know.
Today's "new" about Schofield is that he had an affair with a young man named Matthew McGreevy, formally a runner on This Morning, who left after some argument. He was 18, Schofield 51, when they were apparently lovers. If that's true, then Schofield isn't just gay, but a dirty old man as well.
Still feel sorry for his wife of 27 years. P.S. presumably known he is gay all his life (well once he started to have sexual feelings) all gay friends I know have said they knew from early age they were gay)
Are the public being fed the fake news that P.S. has been completely faithful to his wife for the 27 years without any hint of cheating on her with a man? Mrs Schofield go and find yourself a good man and best wishes to you once you find him flaunt him all over the tabloids and everywhere else hopefully he will be a toyboy with the body of an Adonis.
Whilst I agree it was the honest thing for Phillip to do, the way it was done was cringy. All that lovey hugging and tears, on national tv I dont think most people really care one way or another but I expect his family do, and despite how amazing his wife, and family have been about the announcement I can only imagine the pain and hurt it has generated. But Phil rides off into the sunset as a hero lauded for his bravery but if he had been brave he would have been honest a bit earlier but maybe he would not be the popular figure he is today without his wife and family.
No definately not brave. Bravery is going out on an RNLI lifeboat in a rough sea. The firemen going into the 9/11 towers when everyone else was running away. Being a soldier in the first world war or any other war really. My grandad was brave. I could go on.
