The more we allow racism a voice, on QT over Brexit, or in the right wing rags with MM, the more acceptable it becomes.

'We', aka the UK, need to revert to the loud NO we gave to racists prior to Brexit.

Having experienced living in the US, I used to be proud that the UK was less (not totally non) racist. Unfortunately, the links between Brexit and the extreme right wing of Farage and Steven Yaxley Lennon et al have made those that were previously aware their attitudes were unacceptable other than in their little coverns, feel they are agreed with by the general public.

On the same programme another ill informed audience member claimed that the recent floods in the UK were caused by the EU and this lie was allowed to go unchallenged

The woman who has been employed to select the QT audience for more than twenty years is Alison Fuller Pedley who is a former member of UKIP and has "liked" and retweeted postings by the likes of Tommy Robinson and the EDL.

Even in parts of the country which was strongly pro-Remain, the audience has been packed with brextreemists. How has this ever been permitted?

Well, whoever taught you that was wrong. The graph on this Office of National Statistics page shows that the UK population didn't hit 60 million until 2005. I hope you do rather better with your quiz answers...
