Last seen scuttling like a rat out of Downing Street.

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 16:03:14

Just realised that's a homophone of "bidet". Maybe not! hmm

SirChenjin Sun 19-Apr-20 16:04:25

As a self appointed superforecaster I predict that he will return when the PPE finally starts getting to the frontline, the cases of recovery outnumber the new cases of infection 5:1 minimum and the vaccine is almost ready. Up until then we’ll be treated to pictures of BJ looking wan but stoic, rallying the right wing troops from Chequers and in about six weeks there’ll be photos of him, Carrie and number whatever of the latest Johnson offspring for them so dab their eyes to.

sirchen

I think you could apply for the job of superforecaster?

SirChenjin Sun 19-Apr-20 16:19:08

I don’t fit the Cummings weirdo and misfit mould but leaving that to one side I bet I’m spot on with my forecasting wink

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Apr-20 16:20:27

?

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 16:21:56

I think he's already reappeared, but has changed his name to "Senior Whitehall Source". His first little job is to smear Whitty and Vallance.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Apr-20 16:27:46

What a horrible little squirt he is.

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 16:30:02

SirChenjin I was reading an article this morning about the tactics of populists. Apparently, "poor me" is the second stage of the process, so you could be right. Hair more ruffled than usual, unshaven, clothes and tie crumpled - wouldn't mind betting he'll appear in a briefing very soon and tell everybody how he's so grateful for the heroic NHS. They'll all want to be heroes to please the Glorious Leader, so will step forward to treat everybody wearing nothing at all.

Cummings meanwhile will look scruffier than normal (with his butt hanging out of his trousers) in the hope that his appearance will distract from his dastardly plans and role as a "Senior Whitehall Source".

Meanwhile, Angela Merkel will raise an eyebrow and do something sensible.

annodomini Sun 19-Apr-20 16:48:29

If the PM wants to make an 'entrance'. May 8th is VE day and a special bank holiday. He could be on his feet by that time.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Apr-20 16:52:44

growstuff so true

SirChenjin Sun 19-Apr-20 17:35:54

growstuff - excellent post, you’ve got it in one!

Jabberwok Sun 19-Apr-20 18:06:37

Angela Merkel doing something sensible by infuriating Bejing! Sounds just the ticket!!!!!!

Urmstongran Sun 19-Apr-20 18:27:01

growstuff clutching at straws!

Cummings has been ill. He’s back at work GagaJo it was in all the papers on Thursday.

He’ll be getting up to speed.
Ready to advise Boris.

?

SirChenjin Sun 19-Apr-20 18:59:56

grin @ advising Boris. You’re clutching at a far bigger straw there Urm.

vegansrock Sun 19-Apr-20 19:07:11

Boris needs advising? Who knew?

Grannmarie Sun 19-Apr-20 19:09:17

Has anyone watched Brexit: An uncivil war on Netflix?

Benedict Cumberbatch plays a chilling Dominic Cummings.

Interesting viewing.

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 19:23:57

Ready to advise Boris? Isn't that the same as being "Senior Whitehall Source"?

I'm clutching at nowt, hun! wink

SirChenjin Sun 19-Apr-20 19:28:42

I like to think that since his brush with death Boris has had an epiphany, has replaced Cummings and his skateboard, and is now being advised by the Downing St cat.

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 22:24:57

No, no, no ... Larry (the Downing Street cat) is just advising … he's taken over.

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 22:25:59

Anyway, this is what Larry has to say about Cobra meetings ...

welbeck Sun 19-Apr-20 22:53:55

dominic cummings' uncle died of covid-19 a few days after he was seen scuttling away from downing street.

Well your predictions may be right Sirchenjin and annodomini but maybe Thursday 21st May (Ascension day) may be a more appropriate date following on from the Easter Sunday release date. Or is that a tad too cynicalconfused

Fiachna50 Mon 20-Apr-20 03:25:32

Who cares.

growstuff Mon 20-Apr-20 09:43:06

That sounds most appropriate May7.
