Last seen scuttling like a rat out of Downing Street.

A long long way away on a desert island I hope

It does seem like a long time since that happened. Don't care for the man, but he's someone's loved one, so hope all is well.

He was pictured returning to work last week

GagaJo Sun 19-Apr-20 08:52:44

He was said to have symptoms but no mention of him since.

I can’t believe he’s out of favour. He’s Boris’ external brain.

Or is it that with Boris out of action for a while that he’s being excluded?

While I think Boris is a lazy oaf who will milk recuperation for all he can (beyond his real recuperation - I don’t deny he genuinely was ill), I don’t think Cummings is work shy.

GagaJo Sun 19-Apr-20 08:53:16

X posts old woman. Was he? Didn’t see that.

He had a couple of weeks social seclusion after coming into contact with Covid at No 10. I understand he was working from home. He is now back at work at No 10.

Bit harsh to comment on someone else's attitude to work without ascertaining the facts first.

Oopsminty Sun 19-Apr-20 10:22:53

I saw him a couple of days ago. In the paper.

ChrisT Sun 19-Apr-20 10:29:03

@eazybee
Many ex-colleagues and bosses say the same thing about this man. inews.co.uk/opinion/comment/boris-johnson-self-serving-incompetent-276977

lemongrove Sun 19-Apr-20 10:30:55

eazybee well said, but a popular thing to do on GN for some posters, shoot first and ask questions later.?

LG, you've only got to look at the FIVE missed Cobra meetings re BJ. He is in it for the position, not the work. Which is why he has DC. It's hardly shoot first. He is very well known for being workshy. To be fair, he wasn't voted in for his work ethic. He's a front man.

Did DC ever have C19 or did he manage to avoid it? Very lucky if he did, the amount of them that HAVE had it.

I think that we can safely assume that the little weed isn’t throwing his weight around and upsetting the apple cart amongst the Whitehall civil servants. I hope that he now understands the importance of an experienced strong civil service.

lemongrove Sun 19-Apr-20 15:05:50

I think Cummings understands the civil service very well indeed, which is why he thinks it's ripe for a shake up.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Apr-20 15:24:54

Cummings is an aid!! He isn't entitled to throw his weight around.

And. You know that for sure do you lemon?

Hmm interesting. Where would you start?

lemongrove Sun 19-Apr-20 15:39:42

looks like he is doing it, entitled or not.grin

lemongrove Sun 19-Apr-20 15:40:29

….although it will now be put on the back burner I should think.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Apr-20 15:45:17

Yes it would appear so initially at least. Something to do with a weak PM who doesn’t appear in control?

lemongrove Sun 19-Apr-20 15:46:45

or has been in ICU and very ill, possibly.

SirChenjin Sun 19-Apr-20 15:46:52

Doing what? He’s done nothing as far as I can do except witter on about superforecasters (shame these forecasters couldn’t have put their talents to good use and predicted the shortage of PPE and other useful things), weirdos and misfits.

vegansrock Sun 19-Apr-20 15:46:59

Yes he thought it a good idea to appoint weirdos, like himself I guess, and was pushing for the herd immunity from the start, doesn’t matter if a few pensioners die line.

suziewoozie Sun 19-Apr-20 15:57:54

I believe DC is now busy plotting with BJ as to the best time for the latter to return as the conquering hero to save the nation. Let’s hope they get this wrong as well.

growstuff Sun 19-Apr-20 16:01:57

6th June could be B Day! wink

Whitewavemark2 Sun 19-Apr-20 16:01:58

lemon he wasn’t ill in January!!
