Not often I feel moved to applaud Mark Zuckerberg, but this time - ??

I don't find Zuckerberg particularly admirable as he has allowed his platform to be used for years to disseminate hatred and falsehoods.

This might be a wake up call for him to get facebook to clean up its act.

I'll reserve judgement I think.

Lemongrove I dont think its compulsory to be on the side of the UK even when in a country they are occupying against half its populations will .NI is IRISH and it will be reunified especially after the mess Bojo and his circus have made of Brexit ....no border they said .Look how that turned out !!

At last an American who sounds and acts like a president.

I’ve actually welled up every time I’ve heard him speak over the past few weeks. I actually prefer the way he speaks to Obama, who spoke so slowly I kind of forgot (much as I adored him) by the end of a sentence what he was actually talking about. A true statesman imo.

Most past presidents have been very pro Ireland ,at least since Kennedy,all keen to show Irish roots..there is a massive Irish population in the US ,remember .Being supportive of ONE nation doens't mean you cant be supportive of another.I'm sure he'll work with the "UK" even though he has a low opinion of Johnston ...

I don’t think any past Presidents have really understood the Irish situation.If they think they have any Irish blood in them,
Most Americans have flawed and sentimental views of Ireland and ‘the troubles’.
Of course he will work with Westminster, he has to it’s politics and diplomacy, but feeling some warmth for the UK is always an asset.

It goes without saying that anyone at all would be better than DT though!

Now, I’m not sure about this so am happy to be told I’m wrong but I always thought that it was Blair and Clinton working together that helped to bring about peace in Ireland. Along, of course, with many other people.
