Duke of Edinburgh admitted to hospital.

He is not my most favourite Royal but having said that I wish him a speedy recovery.
The poor Queen must be so worried........she's not having the best of times lately, is she?

I agree with Anniebach I hope he gets well soon.

I don't think it's appropriate to say anything other than to wish him well. I don't like to hear of anyone being ill.

Let’s hope he makes it to his landmark birthday.

He has had many privileges but he did work well into his nineties while the rest of us retired in our sixties. Obviously with some exceptions.

his Lifestyle and wealth makes no difference, he is a husband, father, great grandfather and g great grandfather.

If we ordinary folk had a loved one in hospital perhaps nearing end of life would we say he/she had a good life compared to the homeless

I felt it must be reasonably serious for him to be in hospital,but maybe they are just being cautious. At least it's not Covid related because if someone with his level of protection and privilege gets it theres no hope for any of us!

Philip is renowned for loathing to be unwell and any attendant fuss - but he will be receiving the best care. The royals have the cream of the medical profession at their disposal.

I actually agree with susiewoozie well there's a first. He's had a charmed life best care available, best food, everything handed to him on a plate. Unlike us ordinary folks and my poor Dad.

I wish him well too but he is a great age. As Puzzler61 said he is looking very frail now.

Let’s hope it is just a precaution. He is very tough so fingers crossed for him.

I have a feeling this may be it. I don't know how or why I feel this so I am probably talking out of my backside. BUT I also had a feeling MM was pregnant a good couple of months ago.

Not that I am mystic Meg or anything. One of 'em is ancient, and the other one has ancient eggs (use 'em or lose 'em).

He’s very old and getting the level of health care most of us especially at this time can only dream of. He’s got to die sometime.

Maybe needs X rays or scans of some sort.

We aren't always told the whole story so maybe he needed the facilities only a hospital has available. I wish him well and hope he is back home soon.

Maybe he just wants a change of scenery!
