Last night after feeling unwell.

Fingers crossed for him.

Anniebach Maybe, who knows? It's not as if anything here has any influence - we're just a bunch of women faffing about on the internet at the end of the day. Just a shame we can't always do it with more good humour and dignity.

MissAdventure - it's the double standards and the dog whistling. Some set a low bar then complain when others go under it.

Why keep reading and writing if the thread offends? Just move on to another thread.

I don’t understand what you mean - are you really saying we shouldn’t stay on a thread and criticise?

BlueBelle Sun 21-Feb-21 17:45:44

Why ! rosalyn
specie4eyes post was disgusting and anyone who thinks it wasn’t needs to look hard at themselves
And I couldn’t care less about the Royals but I do care about blatant unkindness
No wonder they left the country

Anniebach Sun 21-Feb-21 17:44:47

But why join in mocking those who want to discuss the thread
title ?

If you don't like the posts, report them. The righteousness gets a bit grating and as there is a mechanism to deal with posts you find offensive I see no reason why some of you don't use it rather than trying to bully other posters into silence. Unless GN are paying you to police the threads?

I think you misunderstand the issue of reporting. Because someone finds a particular post ‘offensive’ (and that’s not a word I find particularly helpful) that’s not a reason per se to report it. Some people on GN are actually against reporting in general and say instead that if we have issues with some posts then we should state our position on the thread. I font think it’s accurate or fair to say it’s about trying to bully other posters in silence - that doesn’t work anyway. And I also think it’s not accurate to use the word ‘righteousness’ for those of us who think some of the comments about MM go somewhat too far.

MissAdventure Sun 21-Feb-21 17:43:22

I suspected as much. wink

I am laughing at your good grief alegrias, it felt very restrained and quite posh.

I'm dead posh, me. smile

Galaxy Sun 21-Feb-21 17:42:33

Much better to let it stand.

MissAdventure Sun 21-Feb-21 17:40:51

Why not?
I'm not offended, because I'm no royalist, nor unrealistic about a 99 year old man being in hospital.

MissAdventure Sun 21-Feb-21 17:35:13

I don't think there is anything report worthy.
I'm sure hq wouldn't delete opinions, and rightly so.
But you know the saying about opinions...

Anniebach Sun 21-Feb-21 17:33:20

Could it be a way to get any thread which criticises the duchess closed ? She does have admirers

I am a republican and can’t believe the amount of interest and strong emotion stirred by this family, who most of us only “know” through the media. How can any of us pretend be party to the motives and feelings assigned to these characters. I find it mind boggling, and a little bit sad.

MissAdventure Sun 21-Feb-21 17:24:44

I'm confused now!
Yes, I'm absolutely sure though. grin

suziewoozie Sun 21-Feb-21 17:22:19

MissAdventure

I'm not sure being spiteful about someone's grandchild is the right way to express well wishes.

I think you are sure are you not?

MissAdventure Sun 21-Feb-21 17:18:03

eazybee Sun 21-Feb-21 17:14:28

It is purple prose, but Jaberwok sums up Harry's behaviour rather more succinctly.

suziewoozie Sun 21-Feb-21 17:12:50

If people really wanted to demonstrate respect for PP and express concern for his health, why they use this thread to continue with the vitriolic attacks on MM? There’s plenty more threads available.

MissAdventure Sun 21-Feb-21 17:10:53

Unbelievable.

Jaberwok Sun 21-Feb-21 17:09:31

Totally agree with every thing you've said specki4eyes. Harry's behaviour to his once much loved grandparents is inexplicable. Having his chain pulled would seem to be the reason?

suziewoozie Sun 21-Feb-21 17:07:55

BlueBelle

soecki4eyes that’s disgusting

It’s worse than that isn’t it?
