Obviously, the Oprah interview with the Sussexes.

I will because I want to hear it straight from the source rather than media spin/interpretation so that I can comment later on what I saw and heard, when discussions start up as they surely will.

However, I don’t think they should be doing an interview at all (I felt the same about Diana and Charles interviews) these things end up backfiring against them.

Galaxy Mon 08-Mar-21 20:16:04

That's enormous viewing figures for a TV programme in America.

Smileless2012 Mon 08-Mar-21 20:16:16

No maddyone don't let them turn you to 'the dark side'grin.

Smileless2012 Mon 08-Mar-21 20:17:16

Still not many though Galaxy.

Smileless2012 Mon 08-Mar-21 20:23:36

Mr. S. is preparing to go down to our second living room in the basement to watch. Looked rather upset at being relegated to the basement so I told him to be thankful we don't have a dungeongrin.

Casdon Mon 08-Mar-21 20:23:39

To put the viewing figures in context 100, 466,000 watched the Super Bowl in 2020!

What I find most odd about the story of curtsying etc is that Harry didn’t explain everything fully. He is Royal. He knows nothing else. It’s in his DNA. Are we to believe he didn’t guide her regarding all the customs and intricacies of the institution she was marrying into?

I also listened to a female Royal correspondent this morning who said that Meghan had a very good team around her who did a good job of fielding requests and batting off intrusive questions. In her words “if I pushed they pushed back very hard”. This doesn’t chime with Meghan being left alone with no protection.

Someone else that didn’t last long was the female protection officer she had. She accompanied her to Australia if I remember rightly and there were whispers at the time that she found it difficult working for M.

Maybe it will be forever shrouded in secrecy and we’ll never know the truth as opposed to her truth!

Smileless2012 Mon 08-Mar-21 20:29:58

Well that does put it into context doesn't it Casdonsmile.

Galaxy Mon 08-Mar-21 20:41:19

Only 18 million watched the presidential debate. It's really high viewing figures.

lemsip Mon 08-Mar-21 20:50:23

they had a rehearsal of the wedding three days before, meghan to naive to realise that's what it was.

Casdon Mon 08-Mar-21 20:51:19

Go figure? The population of USA is 328 million people, and almost one third watched the Super Bowl, but only 17 million watched the interview and 18 million watched the presidential debate. What does that say about how high up their priority list this is.

Kamiso Mon 08-Mar-21 20:54:27

Haven’t watched but still found out there was very little substance but it’s left open for speculation as to which family member wondered what colour Archie’s skin might be.

If there is an international prize for manipulation MM will be way out in front with Harry trailing along behind.

Must be awful to be down to your last £18m. It might help if she stops spending thousands on one frock.

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 20:55:38

Thank you Casdon it certainly shows where they come for
viewing.

Galaxy Mon 08-Mar-21 21:01:49

Crikey we have drifted into alternative facts.

Casdon Mon 08-Mar-21 21:13:14

Which bit was that Galaxy?

ayse Mon 08-Mar-21 21:18:52

It’s too sugary! I just can’t watch it anymore. It reminds me of The Good Witch - Netflix! Yuk.

seacliff Mon 08-Mar-21 21:21:49

Not watching, for my own MH. Enjoying Hidden Figures instead - the TRUE story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. Fascinating.

lemsip Mon 08-Mar-21 21:22:31

ayse. I agree.

We're watching the recording and I said exactly the same. Harry let her down on that occasion.

She also had an excellent, hand-picked team, not at all the Palace 'old guard'.

Summerlove Mon 08-Mar-21 21:32:50

It sounds like Harry let her down a lot

Pippamoo Mon 08-Mar-21 21:33:15

This thread reads very much like Parlor/Qanon threads!

And Biden didn't win the election! ?

AND the majority of you couldn't understand how so many Americans voted for Trump!

It all makes sense (why you didn't understand) now!

Grandma70s Mon 08-Mar-21 21:42:02

Switched off after 20 minutes or so.

Jaxjacky Mon 08-Mar-21 21:48:41

seacliff brilliant film, we’re watched Leeds get beaten by West Ham!!

MayBee70 Mon 08-Mar-21 21:53:28

From what I’ve heard so far it seems to be more of a problem with the gutter press not the royal family. And, from memory, they don’t comment on untrue stories in them. And other royals don’t have titles etc.

Bridgeit Mon 08-Mar-21 21:58:58

I agree Maybee70

Grandma70s Mon 08-Mar-21 21:59:36

From the bit I saw, she seemed to be confusing the monarchy with Disney.
