Obviously, the Oprah interview with the Sussexes.

I will because I want to hear it straight from the source rather than media spin/interpretation so that I can comment later on what I saw and heard, when discussions start up as they surely will.

However, I don’t think they should be doing an interview at all (I felt the same about Diana and Charles interviews) these things end up backfiring against them.

Didn’t you realise, all points of view are welcome on here Pippamoo, even from those with delusions of superior insight. What else would we do with our evening after all?

Boz Mon 08-Mar-21 22:21:33

Piers Morgan has Thomas on his breakfast show itv tomorrow morning.
The Media fight back.
Very silly pair to awaken the Kraken

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 22:22:55

Who is Thomas ?

Galaxy Mon 08-Mar-21 22:24:49

Piers Morgans behaviour on this is beyond creepy.

Calendargirl Mon 08-Mar-21 22:25:16

Thomas Markle.

V3ra Mon 08-Mar-21 22:28:44

Well. Just finished untangling The Sun crossword that my husband had messed up.
Have I missed anything? ?

DD found a box set of Yes Minister in a charity shop recently and gave it to us. We watched three episodes this evening. On balance Yes, Minister is a lot wittier but probably didn't make us laugh as much as watching the Oprah interview would have.

JaneJudge Mon 08-Mar-21 22:36:47

do they all really have to curtsey every time hey see the queen or is it a one off? It all sounds very sound of music

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 22:37:45

Thomas Markle , gosh

This shows that the you tube interviews were a hoax.

EllanVannin Mon 08-Mar-21 22:41:48

-------yawning now and losing interest, putting on jim-jams.

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 22:44:25

Did I mishear , I was playing Killer Suduko, did Harry say he was trying to educate Charles and William ?

nadateturbe Mon 08-Mar-21 22:47:28

Well that was two hours well spent....?

LauraNorder Mon 08-Mar-21 22:51:11

Two hours of my life I won’t get back.
That arrogant, entitled twit did say he would try to educate his father and his brother. Unbelievable.

Shinamae Mon 08-Mar-21 22:52:11

So glad I didn’t bother

LauraNorder Mon 08-Mar-21 22:52:41

If I told my husband that I wanted to take my own life he would move heaven and earth to get help.

AmberSpyglass Mon 08-Mar-21 22:58:16

Why are we surprised he wanted to educate his very sheltered, privileged white family about race?

NellG Mon 08-Mar-21 23:04:08

I gave in and watched. Ugh! Feel rather grubby now.

nanna8 Mon 08-Mar-21 23:09:22

It was all me me me, as to be expected. Nothing was their fault of course.I think the uk is most definitely better off without them.

Callistemon Mon 08-Mar-21 23:15:38

Well, that was an hour and a half of my life I won't get back grin

Harry gave a salutary lesson in how not to build bridges with your family in case anyone needed to know.

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 23:16:11

What a damn lie, I stopped watching them, put on BBC news,
a reporter quoted Harry, when he was a child he didn’t go out into the countryside on a bike etc, I saw those two boys, playing in fields, fishing, even abseiling a bridge and often ,

From what I’ve heard so far it seems to be more of a problem with the gutter press not the royal family. And, from memory, they don’t comment on untrue stories in them. And other royals don’t have titles etc.

Other Royals have had to put up with dreadful stories in the press for years.
It's very wrong but Meghan was just the latest in a long line. They both seemed to think the Palace can control the press, very naive of them.
The others have just had to learn to ignore it all and get on with the job.

Callistemon Mon 08-Mar-21 23:23:04

Anniebach yes, I heard that and thought 'untrue!'

I immediately thought of another thread called Daughter's Astonishing Comment that relates to misremembered childhoods.

Returnofthemc Mon 08-Mar-21 23:39:01

Gosh it went on a bit
However, come on, no one should be complict in racism
For someone in 'the family 'to ask what colour their child's skin would be is appalling
How sad that a woman asking for help with mental health struggles was denied it
An unnamed member of the royal family, casually pondering about the colour of the skin of their unborn child
Not one person, whoever they are, should put up with this kind of shizz

Curlywhirly Mon 08-Mar-21 23:56:23

Meghan seemed to be confused as to who gets the title Prince.
Apparently protocol states that Archie will only become a Prince when Charles becomes King; but Megan (and Harry one presumes) wanted him to have that title from birth. She was really bothered about it and seemed to take it personally and gave the impression that she thought Archie had been singled out and the title was purposely being withheld. She said she was upset because if Archie wasn't a Prince, it meant he wouldn't have security provided for him. In contrast Princess Anne (and I think Prince Edward) whose children can be Princesses/Princes have declined the title for their children, despite the security advantage.
