Obviously, the Oprah interview with the Sussexes.

I will because I want to hear it straight from the source rather than media spin/interpretation so that I can comment later on what I saw and heard, when discussions start up as they surely will.

However, I don’t think they should be doing an interview at all (I felt the same about Diana and Charles interviews) these things end up backfiring against them.

Justin Welby is a disgrace, he carried out a renewal of wedding
vows three days after the marriage and allowed the world to think they were seeing a marriage service.

Peasblossom Mon 08-Mar-21 08:56:32

You mean we didn’t need to pay all that money after all?

So who wanted the big wedding? The Queens other grandchildren have had less expensive, less published weddings.

Mollygo Mon 08-Mar-21 08:57:47

Calendargirl how can you not imagine the hoo ha about where and when the baby will be born!
IMO it will all be carefully stage-managed, to get the greatest publicity (whilst reiterating their desire to avoid high profile public life).
More stories of being ignored by the grandparents causing further trauma, and further damaging their already precarious mental health etc. etc.
Not for nothing was MM an actress.
If this was a drama on tv it would be about a younger son playing out his resentment about being in second place, urged on by his wife who wants more limelight for herself.
I thought Harry’s marriage would give him some well deserved happiness. I doubt it has.

We always knew Meghan was an actress but this seems to have been a very well rehearsed performance almost worthy of an Oscar, with Harry as the supporting cast.

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 09:00:47

We had an announcement that there wouldn’t be an announcement and now we learn we watched a wedding which wasn’t a wedding .

Shropshirelass Mon 08-Mar-21 09:02:25

Yes probably. But don’t forget Meghan is an actress and will play the part.

tickingbird Mon 08-Mar-21 09:11:59

Isn’t it telling that Harry stated he was unhappy and wanted out BUT didn’t realise this until meeting Meghan?

I hope he hasn’t gone too far as I fear he may need his birth family in the future.

GagaJo Mon 08-Mar-21 09:13:56

No doubt discussion about the palace worries over Archie's skin colour before he was born?

I'm surprised they didn't pick up and lease before the birth. That would have done it, for me.

Maggiemaybe Mon 08-Mar-21 09:17:01

I had thought I might watch, but two hours, half of it adverts, when we’ve got the gist already and some titbits have been held back for a second attack? No thanks. And it’ll be impossible to avoid the hoo-haa about it for weeks to come anyway. The couple’s celebrity friends and supporters are already out there jostling for their few minutes of the after-show publicity.

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 09:23:23

No, I will not watch , couldn’t stomach two hours of that doe eyed woman

Nanawind Mon 08-Mar-21 09:30:55

I'll record it and then cut out the adverts.

Daisymae Mon 08-Mar-21 09:33:40

She actually said that Kate made her cry!

maddyone Mon 08-Mar-21 09:33:42

I won’t be watching, I don’t want to watch someone playing the victim. From the clips I’ve seen, I have to say, I didn’t realise she was such a good actress.

Lucca Mon 08-Mar-21 09:34:18

Will people who don’t watch it feel free to comment about it based only on newspaper reports of the interview, or on edited highlights ?
Not looking for a fight, just asking.

So you’ve decided already

foxie48 Mon 08-Mar-21 09:35:37

I've just read a summary of the interview in the Washington Post, so I won't be watching. I think M and H are miscalculating by attacking the RF, if you take away the fact that H is a minor royal, you actually don't have a lot left to trade on!

maddyone Mon 08-Mar-21 09:39:07

As have you Lucca.

NellG Mon 08-Mar-21 09:39:59

Having just caught yet another clip I will not be watching, I consider it an act of self care.

Yes, I will, if I want to.

JenniferEccles Mon 08-Mar-21 09:49:03

I thought the same Lucca so I will, somewhat reluctantly, watch it.

I think the Queen though is very sensible in deciding she will give it a miss thank you very much!

Smileless2012 Mon 08-Mar-21 09:55:13

Yes Lucca I'll feel free to comment on it even though I wont be watching and TBH I can't see the difference between someone who watches and someone who doesn't.

From what I can gather from this mornings tit bits, those who have watched it fall into 2 camps. One camp who believes everything they've said, even though a lot appears to be unsubstantiated and unverifiable.

Who was the person/people questioning what colour Archie would be? Who was the person/people who denied M help when she felt suicidal? How convenient that there can be no come back because she didn't identify them.

Why talk about Kate reducing her to tears, and then not wish to go into details because it wouldn't be fair, as she apologised? Why mention it all?

Bullies choose their victims, the ones who are unable to defend themselves. It's extremely unlikely that the RF will respond because that's not what they do. I hope they don't. I hope they treat this trash with the contempt it deserves.

" I will not be watching. I consider it an act of self care" me too Nell and from the clips I've seen and what I've read for H I consider him being a part of this circus, an act of self harm.

NellG Mon 08-Mar-21 10:01:11

Well said Smiles, agree 100%.

I spent many years working with people who have personality disorders, you learn to smell BS a mile off. If what she says about her MH was true the last place she would be talking about it is on TV. The whole thing is rancid with manipulation.

If people choose to carry on being conned by this couple it's their lookout. I don't deal with that stuff unless I"m getting paid for it.

EllanVannin Mon 08-Mar-21 10:09:04

It's going to be really excruciating and won't do anything for the blood-pressure at all as many will shout at the screen grin

EllanVannin Mon 08-Mar-21 10:10:00

They haven't lived !!

Smileless2012 Mon 08-Mar-21 10:11:04

And after all this time with the constant references by H to his mental health, M starts talking about her own. Heaven forbid H may get some sympathy and understanding if she doesn't get her fair share!!

I certainly wouldn't want the entire world to know that my husband was so spineless that despite me being suicidal while pregnant, he sat back and did nothing to help me get the help I so desperately needed.
