PippaZ, you just do not get it, do you? It is not about what you and I think the Conservatives have or have not done, it is what the people who vote for them think they have or have not done.
You need to consider that the things that matter to you and show all the iniquity of the Conservatives may be issues that many voters do not give a toss about and what concerns them are issues of no interest to you.
Perhaps more importantly would be to ask those exLabour voters, now voting Conservative, what is it about Labour that stops them voting for it. Much of that, I think, may be about what Labour is, rather than its policies.
One of the interesting insights that came from all the interviews on the radio this morning was one with Peter Mandelson, who spent time canvassing door to door in Hartlepool and used to be their MP. He said that while everyone keeps going on about Brexit (see further up this thread) no-one brought it up on the door step. The two things everyone wanted to talk about were 'the two Cs' - COVID and Corbyn.
growstuff Apart from the fact that there is no such as a unified electorate, what do you think people want?
That is the whole point, i really do not know and I am not going to guess because I would be wrong
maizie Whatever is being said on the other thread, it is a different story further up this thread, although I expect there is a change of tune on this thread now.
