As silence is usually held to mean 'consent' we might assume that they are perfectly OK with the things you list. hmm

To be honest I knew that it must be rhetorical, but I’m sort of hoping that honesty would prevail, but I suppose I can’t expect any of that either.

Just to clarify, I meant a step too far for Tory supporters. The Tory step too far for me occurred well over 40 years ago.

I haven’t seen one comment, on any news site or forum, by a person defending Matt Hancock today. Perhaps this is the step too far?
