Kuenssberg Cummings interview

We just watched this.
DH was annoyed by Cummings but I noticed why he was annoyed.

The classic sign of a liar is that someone who constantly puts their hand or fingers across their mouth when speaking which he did. He also put his fingers on his face, touched his ear (didn't want to hear what Kuenssberg was asking).

When he spoke of how he and his group manipulated Johnson his hands were nowhere near his mouth. Nor were they when he talked about he conned the British public. So much was truth.

He wants to overthrow the government (democracy?.

Respect! to Laura Kuenssberg who skewered him again and again.

As Kuennsberg said though,
‘Whatever you think of Dominic Cummings, when big things happened, he was in the room.‘
I suspect some of what he said was fabrication, exaggeration and ego - but also that some of what he said was true. There was certainly very genuine animosity against Carrie, he wasn’t putting any act on with that I don’t think. All very interesting.

Do watch it, if you can, Namsnanny
I wasn't going to but we were riveted.

I did watch most of it, but I had to leave the room for a while.
The weather was hot and so was my head!

I'll pick it up again on iplayer, when the weather and I have cooled off smile

Chewbacca Tue 20-Jul-21 21:02:39

The man is a weasel.

I may have to report you Callistemon. I don’t want to lose my security clearance.

I am saying Nothing.

Callistemon Tue 20-Jul-21 21:01:09

He is definitely Machiavellian.
I think he and his group are still dangerous.

His time spent abroad was in Russia.

^He is so far up the spectrum...^

Did you choose the correct word Deedaa wink

Spectrum is not exactly the word I might have chosen
... . his own fundament on the other hand…

Callistemon Tue 20-Jul-21 20:54:30

That was to Alegerias.
I am forever alert.

Callistemon Tue 20-Jul-21 20:53:40

Please.
I do not want to be incarcerated.

Families of folks in certain jobs are also required to sign the OSA.

I have never been a fan of Mr.Cummings, unfortunately he has fallen down the rabbit hole of self publicity

Because he is dishing the dirt (allegedly) he has automatically become flavour of the month for all and sundry who oppose this government.

Alegrias1 Tue 20-Jul-21 20:44:01

I'll be quiet then wink

Callistemon Tue 20-Jul-21 20:43:52

Maybe anyone who is a ‘civilian’ in No.10 should be required to sign the Official Secrets Act, what’s to stop Cummings (or any other worker) revealing matters of National Security? nasty little man.

Well, I didn't work in No 10 but was (and am) subject to the Official Secrets Act.

Just as well!

Haven't you just broken it then? shock

Nope!

Oooo Callistemon now you've piqued my interest. Do tell, I can assure you it will go no further grin

Deedaa Tue 20-Jul-21 20:35:34

Odious man but much more interesting to listen to than Boris. No umming and waffle. He is so far up the spectrum though. There were so many times when he literally couldn't understand what Laura was asking. I wonder if he realised how obvious it was when he wandered too far from the truth. Some of it came across as very factual.

I posted on another thread.

What an odious little man- but weirdly I can remember so much that he was talking about, he simply put the icing on it.

He is undoubtedly out for revenge, and it seems to me that if I was the government I would never allow an investigation of its handling of the pandemic.

Riverwalk Tue 20-Jul-21 20:23:25

Cummings used to be very popular with the brexiteers and right wingers on Gransnet!

Fascinating interview I must say.
