Boris and Carrie are having another baby.
I bet that's made everyone's day. smile

If you read Sasha Swire’s best selling book ‘Diary Of An MP’s Wife’, she writes about a dinner party where she was seated next to Boris. She said he was absolutely the best person to be sat next to, witty, charming, flirtatious, humorous.

Boris might be short, overweight, bumbling, untruthful, unfaithful, but he sounded extremely charismatic.

Well....... thanks very much ladies. Haven't indulged in such a lovely chortle for ages. Just wondering if GG13 is still upright and that her curry made it!

Curry was delicious.

Definitely stayed upright, we have DD and GC staying for a mumcation so wine was limited ??

I guess it’s the thought of all that hurrumphing and bodily fluid exchanges with Boris Johnson that turns the stomach.

DH’s sons were born 11 months and 1 week apart!

I think he is probably very charming, I also imagine she thinks she will be the one to change him. It's not an uncommon scenario.

BlueSky 'She obviously wants a short gap in her children’s ages.'

I have 2 friends who wanted the same- both ended up with triplets ;) born when number 1 was 18 months.

In a word…..power. It’s def an aphrodisiac for some people

I can definitely understand that, but for someone in such high office, he just doesn’t come across as powerful.

If I were Carrie, I’d just find him incredibly annoying and frustrating.

It seems to me that it’s a ‘be careful what you wish for’ situation.

Kindness; empathy; honesty; fidelity…

BlueSky Sun 01-Aug-21 13:57:10

Fanny I could say his position (no pun intended) but then what do we all see in our partners and vice versa?

FannyCornforth Sun 01-Aug-21 13:40:49

Same here Pippa

Re Carrie. I do wonder what she sees in Johnson.
I could have understood his appeal about 15 years ago, (I know, I know…) but not now, I can’t imagine a worse prospect

The reason this announcement was brought up as three different threads is possibly because the thread titles weren't specific enough. Most of the politics/news threads bear the name of the person to be discussed in the title .. Boris, Farage, Javid, Harry etc so there is no confusion from by glancing through the topics.

I really dislike none specific titles. Why do people do that?

Anniebach Sun 01-Aug-21 13:30:49

I wish her a healthy pregnancy and every good wish for the baby

Boris and Carrie are having another baby.
I bet that's made everyone's day. smile

I'm not criticising MissAdventure because she made it clear in the first post.
Just thinking how minds work.

Agree Jennifer. Must have been so worrying being pregnant last year when Covid was an unknown enemy, and Boris so ill with it. She obviously wants a short gap in her children’s ages.

FannyCornforth Sun 01-Aug-21 11:37:19

With reference to your comment of 11.31 Lucca
‘And just how much can you say?’
To that I would add, anything of any interest would be labelled ‘unkind’ and / or deleted! smile

FannyCornforth Sun 01-Aug-21 11:34:03

Ah yes, thanks Lucca

I was barking at the wrong end of the stick (as my dad’s wife once said)

Lucca Sun 01-Aug-21 11:31:32

For the record, as I understand I’m classed as a raving lefty for not approving this current government and the actions of our PM, I am very pleased that Carrie is pregnant particularly as she suffered a miscarriage. My only comment early on was why three threads about it and just how much can you say ?

Lucca Sun 01-Aug-21 11:29:29

Lucca

Don’t some men refer to their accoutrement as their Johnson ?

Is it something to do with DH Lawrence, or have I made that up?

I think that was john Thomas…

GrannyGravy13 Sun 01-Aug-21 11:28:51

Totally agree jennifereccles

JenniferEccles Sun 01-Aug-21 11:23:10

Carrie’s pregnancy is headline news on some of today’s newspapers.
Widespread praise for her honesty in disclosing the sad news of her miscarriage early in the year.
She and Boris have had a pretty traumatic time of it as she also contracted covid when pregnant with Wilfred, plus of course she would have been incredibly worried when Boris was so seriously ill in hospital.

I, along with most people wish them well with this happy news.
She is aware how blessed she is to be pregnant again.
