Even if he did, the solution with regard to Brexit was based on lies, fraud and crazy economics.

MaizieD no need for sarcasm, I was just pointing out that I have been able to purchase milk as and when needed, it was part of home delivery from Sainsbury’s yesterday (DS & DiL) to our home.

If when I go shopping in a while and I cannot find milk I will come back and let you all know.

It isn’t milk that is the problem it is the delivery.

So it's OK to attribute quotes to people even if they didn't say them? Next you'll be telling us everybody knew Brexit was going to be a disaster but it was all just a bit of fun.

(I get intensively hacked off with the whole Einstein said.... thing. He was too busy changing the way we look at the world to make superficial quotes.)

One of the big issues is a drastic shortage of building materials of all kinds.

Our new double glazing windows have been on order for a month now and deliver is constantly being put back.

Now they think possibly November.

The same is true of all building materials.

One of the many lies told by the providing phone companies who said they wouldn’t do this, and who do not need to do this. This is about money grabbing, nothing else.

It's about making a profit, which is what businesses do, unless laws stop them, which being in the EU did.

Always been the case outside EU anyway. I suppose companies like to make a profit.

There are some pockets of shortages, due in part to containers still relocating (Ever Given (think that’s the correct name) container ship arrived 4 months late into the U.K.) along with all the extra home renovations during lockdowns.

And of course we're all overjoyed that we'll have to pay roaming charges again when we visit EU countries. It's one of the incredible Brexit Benefits..

There are no Brexit benefits.

People like the ERG have successfully fooled the U.K. into Brexit now they are busy working out how to fool the U.K. into accepting that climate crises either does not exist or is not as bad as suggested so that they can continue shovelling the money into their pockets.

I did not intend to be dismissive or patronising Alegrias1

I just have a philosophy in life to get on with things it has served me well thus far.

I concentrate on the positives, family, health, etc. If I was to worry and look for negatives with a business, five children (one in the armed forces) along with eight GC I would be a nervous wreck and no use to anyone.

Whitewavemark2 I was taught (admittedly a few years ago) if you say you have no drivers/money/milk (replace as appropriate) it means you haven’t any, it does not mean you have a shortage.

Whether they are teething troubles or not, the Pollyanna approach isn't enough when we are talking about the economic health of our country. Its not about muddling through, showing what we're made of, looking on the bright side.

We are in this situation because of lies and deceit. There's nothing we can do about it now but those who got us here are gaily smiling through, like some demented Vera Lynn figure.

As for business - I was a Project Manager in "business" for a decade. The PMs who looked on the bright side and only thought about the positives generally failed spectacularly.

In business you see a hurdle, know it’s not insurmountable, look for ways to get over, around or in some cases under it.

I can assure you that our business has been successfully running for over forty years so failed spectacularly does not apply.

Those who got us here seem to think that exercising their right to vote on whichever way they chose is in no way at all connected to the fact that it had adverse consequences.
