The PM has said "big, bold decisions" are needed" and it would be interesting to hear what Conservative voters are hoping for.

''as you so happily have a pop at this country and the people in it,''

you will find that those of us who are sincerely worried about what is happening in Great Britain currently - are deeply concerned because of what is being done to it, and its people. Absolutely the opposite.

I love my country so much. As Kali says, this is why it’s heartbreaking to see what is happening to it. The lunatics have definitely taken over I’m afraid….

Opps. Sorry Katie. What I said obviously applies to the original post.

“Aah but we know the French definitely don’t love us. Never have, unless of course we are lining their pockets.”

You don't "know" that at all Katie59. You just chose to believe sources that show themselves to be generally lacking knowledge or awareness as well as uneducated it seems. I should stay of those forums and reading those newspapers if I was you.

Err, Pippa. Katie59 was quoting from someone else's post about the French not loving us. She doesn't think that.

Most don’t care one way or the other, if they express an opinion it’s, “why”, what did you hope to gain by leaving the EU, that would apply to other nationalities as well

As for lining their pockets, yes they are, that was our choice we allowed foreigners to buy utilities and strategic industries.
France is in the forefront, they protect their own industries, we don’t.

I was just thinking when the UK starts getting to be the envy of the world will all the remainers stop moaning. I for one am glad that we are out of the EU. You can stick what the rest of Europe thinks of us especially France.

There's an in-depth, thoughtful message for our poor, benighted country.

I'm sure the French love you too.

I'd say that was very nasty and unpleasant re EU and France, really. Same as the post as 'don't you have nothing better to do', and a few more.

Pot and kettles.

Of to the sane place that is my garden.

Aah but we know the French definitely don’t love us. Never have, unless of course we are lining their pockets.

That does sound paranoid. I think it's true that the French govenment see our government as a bad actor when it comes to keeping their word or sticking to agreements (that would be because they don't). I doubt they spend their time loving or not loving our country and the people in it. That would be obsessive, wouldn't it.

So you diagnose me as paranoid , do you have a medical degree. Or is just because I’m having a pop at the French as you so happily have a pop at this country and the people in it, and me too of course.

No Lincsclass, it is because you are posting arrant nonsense, nobody needs a medical degree to diagnose that.

JaneJudge Sun 10-Oct-21 11:20:33

sarcasm is lost on some people

Alegrias1 Sun 10-Oct-21 11:18:33

I'm not always patronising.

Only when somebody posts something really daft.

No answers to the questions then?

Kali2 Sun 10-Oct-21 11:15:23

No medical degree for me. No-one has diagnosed anyone with being paranoid, but for the posts expressing paranoia. A very different matter.

You know what, I'm in a spectacularly good mood after watching John and Johannes on Strictly.

So I'm just going to ask Lincslass how many French people do you know? How long have you spent in France? Have you ever lived there there? Have you ever worked for any French companies?

And finally, what makes you so bitter?

What a ridiculous, insulting and frankly, laughable comment.

You are always so patronising. Bully comes to mind.

My goodness Lincslass- where on earth ...

paranoïa is not a good look and is not going to help us get out of this mess- for sure!

You have a medical degree too. Reporting both of you for being very nasty.

I don't know why you'd say that Lincslass. I have family in France and have spent much time there over many decades and have always been made completely welcome by the French people I've met.

What do you mean by lining their pockets?

Not talking about the French people, am entitled to pop at their Government, as you and others do to ours.

Guess what they want more. Because they haven’t done such a good job have. We’d be better keeping our money, providing decent shelter and proper vetting facilities. Have you see how the Gendarmerie treat these people.

But other countries surely spend every waking moment thinking about us don’t they? Because we’re SO important….
