The PM has said "big, bold decisions" are needed" and it would be interesting to hear what Conservative voters are hoping for.

It is sole destroying

Urmstongran Wed 06-Oct-21 22:03:51

Yes, many times Kali2!

Now then JaneJudge this isn’t the plaice for that kind of talk.

It could be a pile on or you could have said something quite bizarre and people are responding to it.

Urmstongran Wed 06-Oct-21 22:06:06

?

Urmstongran Wed 06-Oct-21 22:07:48

Yet, no one picked up on the inadequacy of the French small boats record keeping which I think is more bizarre.

But perhaps not.

And as for (some) large companies whingeing? It's the job of business to maintain a risk register and develop comprehensive contingency plans, surely? Government is not accountable for their failure to do so.

Isn't it interesting that so many, large and small companies, the majority of the population, our allies, are all out of step but you and the comparatively few with your extreme views Urmstongran?

Well I think you lost me in all the red mist there Urmstongran. Enjoy your fish and candles though.

And me. Just come back from a nice evening out to discover that urmstongran has decided that power cuts and fish for xmas dinner are an acceptable price for me to pay to justify her Brexit vote. Erm......no.

JaneJudge Wed 06-Oct-21 22:13:08

I've decided to go and get a new patio calor gas tomorrow and fishing rod

Kali2 Wed 06-Oct-21 22:23:00

The Russians are rubbing their hands in glee ...

I wonder if this is what Urmstongran is dreaming of?

MaizieD Wed 06-Oct-21 22:23:40

I don't actually recall Ug being here on Gnet at the time of the referendum. Perhaps that's why I missed all her warnings of 'bumpy roads'? hmm

(Lots of others, now gone, though)

Urmstongran Wed 06-Oct-21 22:34:32

It’s part of my charm PippaZ.

Ooh look at the pile on! Illustrates the anti-Brexit feeling here on GN in a nutshell.

Cooked fish by BBQ anyone? It’s delicious.
But we all know it won’t be necessary.
Just the silly French Minister sabre rattling!

No one is anti or pro Brexit anymore Unrmstongran. Again you don't get it. It has happened.

What comes next is how our country deals with its citizens and its - so far - allies. How it moves forward and ensures our futures.

You are simply showing your obsession for the past and that one day when you could say "we won".

Urmstongran Wed 06-Oct-21 22:35:50

Still no uptake tho on those small French fishing boats ....

“We finally sent that corduroy Communist cosmonaut into space where he belongs” !

I love it!

Alegrias1 Wed 06-Oct-21 22:51:32

Is this what passes for appropriate comment from the leader of our country now?

Makes me ashamed.

This is truly shocking ...

Andy Burnham has condemned a protest banner at the Conservative Party conference in Manchester that recalled the 1984 Brighton bombing by the IRA.

Unknown protesters hung a banner from a bridge over the Irwell River, Greater Manchester, which read: “Remember we only have to be lucky once’.

... I'm a die-hard anti-Tory, and I want to see them wiped out politically. But I think that banner and those who are responsible for it are despicable.

It's an incitement to violence - and an insult to those killed and injured. No politician, whatever their stripe, should be subjected to threats and intimidation like this.

Urmstongran Wed 06-Oct-21 22:52:40

And Keir Starmer a “human weathervane”.

I’m confused again. What ? Who ?

JaneJudge Wed 06-Oct-21 22:57:58

one of her tenants?

Yeah, he's not that clever, it's a meme off Facebook from about 5 years ago. He called him Captain Hindsight the other day.

What a fabulous role model Boris is for our youth. hmm

Good grief! How childish! It's unbelievable that anybody can be impressed by it.

Blimey, you have very low standards if you think that was anything other than pathetic, clunky and totally irrelevant.

What’s worrying me is how Urmstongran is planning to cook her fish without any power - maybe the candle will do the job?

Ceviche. Which is OK provided the fish is really fresh. Don't need any heat for that.
