To turn up looking like a tramp is showing clear disrespect to all the fallen.

It is funny or clever, it is a disgrace.

About time.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 17-Nov-21 18:29:28

This is corruption

“A government Minister just confirmed in Parliament that there are no minutes to the meeting(s) that took place between Lord Bethell, Owen Paterson and Randox as part of Randox being awarded £600 million of contracts without any kind of tender or any process”

Of course it is corruption.

Corruption is much more prevelant in undemocratic countries such as Belarus and the UK , The only two European countries which use the FPTP voting system, allowing an autocratic government to be elected against the wishes of the majority of voters.

These people, knowing they cannot be removed by the voters, and with the support of the right wing media controlled by foreign billionaires, do what they damn well like

Kuenssberg has tweeted that you can see the authority leaking away from Johnson. He is getting weaker.

About time imo. But who on earth will replace him, and who are we going to be landed with?

Casdon Wed 17-Nov-21 18:42:10

It depends if the current cabinet are dragged down with him. If not, Rishi Sunak. If so Jeremy Hunt I’d guess.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 17-Nov-21 18:44:10

I read that Sunak is not acceptable by Tory members, not sure how right that is.

The cabinet really are all tainted by association.

1922 club very hostile.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 17-Nov-21 19:12:12

My money is on Mr.Sunak he has distanced himself from the PM and kept his head down (apart from the budget) in recent weeks/ months.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 17-Nov-21 19:16:56

Yes I would agree except what I have read about Tory members.

Quite a few of my friends and family are Conservative Party Members ( you will not be surprised at that) and they are all very pro Mr.Sunak.

As for me, not sure what party, if any I can vote for.

What up is guaranteed is that whoever it is, they will be a smart dresser so this thread won’t be repeated!

I'm a Boris fan. He has wit and humour and is a representative of this country we can be proud of.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 17-Nov-21 19:34:46

I see the Tories are distancing themselves from Stanley Johnson.

MaizieD Wed 17-Nov-21 19:43:30

Next PM? I've seen Liz Truss mentioned a time or two...

MollyF You are a brave woman!

Atqui Wed 17-Nov-21 20:35:01

Presumably some other people like him too or he would not be PM

Atqui Wed 17-Nov-21 20:37:06

I really think the cut of his suit is irrelevant to his competence as PM, his honesty or lack of it , and his respect for the people who lost their lives in combat. (;and I don’t even like him)

I'd prefer Jeremy Hunt. I think Sunak wasted alot of money during the pandemic, eat out to help out was ridiculous. I've heard from someone with a local business that lots of the businesses that have closed (and alot have round here anyway) have taken big guaranteed loans and then closed the business. I think if the are a limited company they can't touch them. Well that's what I was told. Then there are the companies that claimed furlough and kept working.

I don't understand what people admire about him. We will be paying for his generosity for years.

So - how fast is it going to be, I wonder?

Not much respect for his wives, including the current one, as he is reported to have complained about 'buyers remorse' at a dinner recently, when he was asked about his married life.

I don't like him but I hope someone is lying about that. Horrible thing to say about his pregnant wife.
