You do know it was sarcasm, right?
No....surely not!!
An 18 yr old girl murdered after setting off to see her boyfriend at 6pm. A 24 yr old male, unknown to the poor victim, has been charged.
A 12 yr old girl has died in Liverpool after allegedly being attacked by a group of teenage boys. She had been with friends watching the Christmas lights switch on. 4 young teens have been arrested.
There seems to be so much violence, especially in the young. Attacks take place in broad daylight and in front of crowds of people.
I know such things have always happened but it seems to me that it’s definitely getting worse.

^Women want men's jobs^
Sorry, very un 'PC' of me but thought it obvious I meant mum and dad swopping roles.
Throughout the late 1800s, more than half of Dundee’s workforce worked in the textile sector, (mainly jute). Jute was cheap and hard wearing & was ideal for sacks, bags, sandbags, packing materials & even cart covers (like those used by wild west pioneers). During most of the time, a majority of females worked in the industry earning a wage men couldn't equal, Consequently men stayed at home as 'house-husbands' and were known locally as kettle bilers (kettle boilers).
There's nothing new under the sun. Taken from Alamy.com,

11.19 11.30 MissAdventure what can I say. You and your gs have been treated horrendously by the system.
Thank you.
It's a preemptive strike, before the "latest phones, big TVs, and false nails" begins.
MissAdventure got it.

I need to stop listening to true crime American podcasts, they are bonkers, always involve the police bringing in psychics and 9 out of 10 times the perpetrator is the preacher.
Any stats to back this up?
All the American podcasts I listen to are bonkers except dateline. It's quite hard to produce stats on this because as far as I am aware no one is producing statistics specifically on the crime podcasts I listen to
And trust me if, if they had, I'd have found them ???
If you do find them let me know as it sort of means someone is stalking me.
Via your Covid jab Galaxy?
Lightbulb moment ?

To be fair to Johnson, not a sentence I use often, he is an example of a cycle of damage, his childhood involved his father breaking his mothers nose, numerous affairs etc. He wasnt going to come out of it undamaged.
And yet, his brothers and sister appear to have done. So it’s the individual traits in him that makes him as he is surely?
Maybe if potential miscreants were sent to private schools and the country paid we could turn them from future criminals into future PMs

There’s a thought!
This thread is discussing the murder of young girls.
That post, Trisher, is offensive.
I don't find it offensive.
It highlights the difference between the rich and poor.
Who is to say how Boris would have fared, if he had been left to roam the streets.
if he had been left to roam the streets
That phrase struck me as very interesting.
I think, as children and teenagers, we were free to roam the streets and countryside; my children probably did the same from a slightly older age, meeting up with friends, going to the park etc. We, and they, played tennis on free courts, the boys played football, going scrumping was probably the worst thing we did.
We didn't go out looking for trouble. We may have seen some but avoided it although I remember seeing a group of boys throwing stones at frogs in a pond; although I was by myself I remember yelling at them to stop. They just laughed and I went home upset.,
Perhaps we were lucky but I certainly don't remember generally being fearful of gangs of knife-carrying young boys

I read the front page. The first thing i wondered is what is a girl doing out at night in the city centre at the age of 12? I am a Liverpudlian from long ago and we never went out into the city at night! I can see i am old fashioned! The accused boys are also very young. Did you let your children go out after dark into a big city centre? Just asking?
I met friends at night in the city centre ( not Liverpool) when I was about 12 years of age.Not every night, naturally but now and then.We went into coffee bars and put records on the jukebox. We may, or may not
have talked to boys there.
My own children didn’t, because I was of a more strict ilk than my own Mother....and there were no coffee bars open at night by then, where we lived. They were allowed to cycle to a friend’s house though, or go into the city centre with friends on a Saturday ( during the day.)
There are two differences between then and now with 12 year olds, one is drinking alcohol and the other knife carrying.
The third is probably the internet lemongrove, violent online games and porn.
I think there is a vast difference between roaming around the countryside, then going home for your dinner, to do your homework and then off to bed, and spending hours indoors alone, being left some money to get your tea, spending hours online on your xbox, and then taking yourself off to bed.

Never a truer word spoken. Sums it up very accurately.

Yes, I do agree.

I was answering that bit, really.

Thanks eazybee I find the huge discrepancies in the way we treat children in this country hugely offensive. That offense is magnified by a PM who if he lived on a slum estate would never have got away with all of the things he has done.
Murder is not the province of the poor any more than it is of the rich.Pure conjecture. You have absolutely no evidence for either of your offensive remarks.
