The Tory MP for Shrewsbury could not afford to pay school fees and has been"grubbing around" (my words) for a job or a consultancy in the Middle East. A link to the full details follows

My heart is bleeding.

There is already a post about this, and if you are going to raise accusations of sleaze will you at least spell it correctly.

I thought it was GNet etiquette to not comment on posters' spelling? hmm

He probably needs the money! DH went for an interview at Shrewsbury School, if this guy's kids attend he will be paying almost £30,000 each child per year.

Calistemon Wed 15-Dec-21 15:45:02

Our Tory's MPs children go to the local comprehensive with my DGC.
If it's good enough for them why is it not good enough for his colleague's children - or all children in the constituency, for that matter?

Come on and cry me a river..... cry me a river........

Sorry?

Does that make it acceptable? No-one has a god given right to send their children to public school...

And to think we have people on another thread moaning about the younger generation living above their means shock

Josianne Wed 15-Dec-21 15:56:15

Just stating the fees Maizie and doing the sums.
Truth be told most families sending their kids to independent schools earn way in excess of an MP. I guess, it wouldn't look good if he had to give notice for his kids to quit due to lack of funds!

?? it is but in the absence of being able to defend the behaviour, we might as well try being rude???

I thought the OP would be talking about this latest photo to hit social media.

They even had the nerve to employ outside caterers!

The Led By Donkeys outside Scotland Yard is excellent!

Is the narrator a significant choice? Has he played a cop in a drama?

It’s Adrian Dunbar the star of Line of Duty, or at any rate someone who sounds just like him
Brilliant and very hard hitting.

MaizieD Wed 15-Dec-21 17:18:31

It’s Adrian Dunbar the star of Line of Duty,

I'd never watched it but I've read plenty about it. I had a suspicion that there could well be a connection.. It was about police corruption, wasn't it?

I would ask for my money back.. Catering looked rubbish.

Do you think this will make any difference to the habitual Tory voters in North Shropshire?

God knows! We can only hope and pray. They might sit on their hands, but I can’t see them voting for another party.

Do you think that this is what was photoshopped out hmm

These inbred Tory voters ?

Neither funny or clever varian

How many do you actually know? Most of my Conservative voting friends are troubled by the current parliamentary situation.

Shinamae Wed 15-Dec-21 18:24:52

These inbred Tory voters are almost impossible to shift.

Wow!!!!
