Harry and Meghan's Happy Holiday Card

So the glorious couple have released the first picture of Baby Lilibet on their Happy Holiday Season card, but why are they always so annoying in everything they do? Both children's faces are only partially visible, we don't get a good look at them. Okay, their choice I suppose, but why?

Even more annoying is that they are once again boasting about their charitable donations. As discussed on another GN thread called 'Doing Good' it is generally agreed that charity work should be done privately with modesty, and not to publicise your good works. Instead we have: As we look forward to 2022 we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families - from those being relocated from Afghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave.
Just to make sure we all know how wonderful they are I suppose.

Archie's red hair is amazing! I'm not sure that California is going to be the best place for two red heads, they're going to be spending a lot of the summer covered up.

MissAdventure

I'm sorry, I have to get this out now.
I need to tell people how lovely she was.
I used to watch people turn their heads to catch a second look at her.
Men, women, children, even. smile

Aw, brought a tear to my eye. Would you like to say more about her? How old was she?

Luckygirl3 been watching the crown ?

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 21:25:55

A lot of people say my girl had a lot of natural dignity and grace.
She was quiet, not ever loud, because she didn't need to be.

Morton's Toe:

"Interestingly, the condition is also known as “Greek foot,” and legend has it, having a larger second toe is associated with being a natural leader, having great intelligence, and even showing a royal demeanor…"

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 21:21:17

My daughter and grandsons have that long second toe.
It's like a ruddy finger on them!

Unless you've been living under a rock you will surely realise the negative stuff this couple have inflicted on the Royal family in so many ways.

Well ... when it comes to negative stuff, where to start? .... associating with paedophiles; marrying someone you do not love and continuing to bed your mistress from day one; drinking/wenching; abdicating ... the list goes on.

The royal family is seriously flawed and (whilst it might be seen as marginally preferable to a president) these two lads have had to find ways of dealing with their upbringing. William has gone down the route of sticking to the script and finding happiness with his marriage and family, whilst making changes from within; Harry has made a different choice by breaking free and choosing a different route happiness away from the archaic diktats of The Firm.

I applaud them both and wish them well. Both, in their own different ways are bringing about change.

If Harry's decisions have caused the royal family discomfort, then so be it; I am sure that he has borne a fair bit of the same from being part of this dysfunctional family. I wish him well with his new family.

I must say that Lilibet has quite long, slim feet for a baby.
She also has a long second toe.

I await analysis from those who know.

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 21:03:44

I can't even walk in anything with any heel at all.
Not even a tiny wedge.

Calistemon Thu 23-Dec-21 21:02:14

Not stilettos then!

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 21:00:31

Well, for running fast, then trainers, but for playing the long game, then definitely not trainers.

Calistemon Thu 23-Dec-21 20:43:30

Ah - what are sensible shoes?

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 20:42:10

I would wear sensible shoes so that I could run away fast, and avoid a surprise toe stubbing.

Calistemon Thu 23-Dec-21 20:39:49

Yes they are and have been used to catch criminals although usually people would wear shoes (trainers)

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 20:37:38

I find them quite interesting.
They must be at least as easy to identify a bare footprint as a fingerprint.

Calistemon Thu 23-Dec-21 20:35:33

I don't much like other people's feet grin unless they're babies and toddlers.

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 20:31:29

One of the guys at work used to follow me around wiggling his toes at me, saying "look!"
I loved that, and the fact that he calmed down so much when I did it.
Plus he got to discover that shouting and being aggressive didnt work to get his way.

Calistemon Thu 23-Dec-21 20:26:44

I had reflexology a few times, it was bliss.

Calistemon Thu 23-Dec-21 20:26:09

You can massage my feet any time!
