I won't, for sure.

Calistemon Thu 13-Jan-22 20:06:30

I've received emails from someone sitting opposite me.
It's a way of making sure the message is understood correctly!

Jaibee007 Thu 13-Jan-22 20:05:24

Nope - Bojo is a creepy scummy liar, only makes insincere apologies when he has no other choice after being caught out, YET AGAIN - how do you know Bojo is lying - are his lips moving?

I don't think Number 10 is an office, its an office block.

Standard way of organising an event when I was working in an office block was to send an "all-hands" email.

One other point I haven't seen mentioned:

If the gathering was people working together in the same office, why send an e-mail?
Especially as they must know they have some sort of regulator of e-mails like many large organisations do - both legitimate and possibly others not so.
If the colleagues were all working together surely word of mouth or a note up?
It's not adding up.

I pointed out on this thread (or it could be another) that there are 100 rooms at No. 10, not all offices of course, but many will be.

I think Starmer would have been a sane steady pair of hands. But to be honest I also think pretty much any previous Tory PM would have done a better job.

Secretsquirrel1 Thu 13-Jan-22 19:12:07

I agree! I think we have a lot to thank BJ for actually.
Imagine if Corbin had of been in charge! And I don’t think KS Wouid have been much better. I can’t imagine Labour having got us though the pandemic. They’d have been hopeless!

Thank you Lucca grin

No I will not, in fact it’s more than that, his not lead or looked
After any of the public his only for himself and his own people
Many 1,000s died needlessly because of his late lockdown etc
Sooner he goes the better ..
His making the UK a sad joke of a country and badly let down more people than we will ever know, and so many with broken hearts too …
Tragic …

I'm a Conservative and I want Johnson to go - so I assume those who vote for other parties will be fairly unanimous on the issue.

We even cancelled a special lunch with an elderly family member the week before we locked down. We never saw him again.

Calistemon Thu 13-Jan-22 18:09:42

The difference is that they made the rules.

And no, I didn't break the rules.

LuckyFour Thu 13-Jan-22 18:04:26

I think everyone should seriously have a look at their own behaviour during the last two years. I don't condone the party it was very stupid, but most people have broken the rules in some way or another . They say - 'we just met our friends in the park' or 'they came to our house but only for half an hour', or 'we simply had to go on holiday as we were desperate for some sun', etc. etc.
Let he who is without sin etc..... (I'm not religious by the way), but we must honestly look at ourselves before we judge too harshly.

They are all as bad as each other can’t trust anyone them although I much prefer Boris to Starmer

Calistemon Thu 13-Jan-22 17:35:16

what are we going to do about it? After all enough is enough

There must be some decent ones as many are as dismayed as the rest of us but they need to come forward and write that letter.

freyja Thu 13-Jan-22 17:13:08

I don't know why we are all upset that there is no apology . Bojo lied his way through life to get what he wants. What surprises me is how he got where he is in the first place as Brexit was the biggest lie of all time. The disaster was the nation wanted to believe his lies and praised him so much rewarded him with the job of his dreams with a vast majority.

Time and time again the old saying comes back to haunt us ' 'be careful what you wish for'.

We've all been cheated, I lost two family members to COVID, and certainly no party for the family or hard working NHS staff who did their best. No respect for the people of this nation has ever been shown by this government, it is a case of do what you are told not what we do and carry on regardless.

The question really is 'what are we going to do about it? After all enough is enough, we have put up with the Tories for too long, its their policies that have screwed the nation and is bringing us to our knees. It's time for a change not just in government but its time we demanded the respect we all deserve by those who suppose to represent us.

We can not go on blindly being led by donkeys, we deserve better.

MissAdventure Thu 13-Jan-22 16:52:02

And common not just on this thread

Calistemon Thu 13-Jan-22 16:48:01

MissAdventure

That's the crux of the matter.
How anyone can excuse it is beyond me.

Me neither, MissAdventure. DH said yesterday that there was no point in me shouting at the TV because BJ couldn't hear me.

But making indiscriminate remarks about the mental health of Gransnetters in general and questioning if they are real people is rude and in fact very odd.

Bamm Thu 13-Jan-22 16:47:40

Maizie D why use 'albino' as a term of abuse ? My husband had albinism and it is always accompanied with eye problems, nystagmus and partial sight. Boris Johnson certainly isn't an albino . If he were it would be even more unacceptable to use this term.
