He seems to have disappeared.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 16:39:07

Well there is the first dead cat thrown onto the table.

Anyone convinced?

EllanVannin Mon 17-Jan-22 16:45:35

I've been saying for the past 4 and a bit years that he was a closet Remainer, so I wonder if Cummings will be the one to open up that can of worms.
I didn't vote for BJ for that reason.

You think I don’t know all that? I’m not dim. I read all about Boris before the GE. Max Hastings was pretty damning about his work ethic. But as we ALL know Boris was the only politician who promised to Get Brexit Done.

And has not!

EllanVannin Mon 17-Jan-22 16:47:17

He is no leader and used bluff to get his votes. That's not cricket.

Kali2 Mon 17-Jan-22 16:55:43

Sorry for repetition, but I don't think the message has quite got through to some:

rom Deborah Meaden (she knows a thing or two about successful business!) - and the perfect answer to the above

''Those quoting 'he got Brexit done' ... any fool can sign an agreement... but if it doesn't work, and it doesn't deliver what was expected... *then that is getting a SIGNATURE done
and leaving a shedload of trouble to unpick*. That's where we are''

she forgot to say that the unpicking cannot be done by the UK unilaterally. The Deal has been signed, so any changes have to be approved by all sides. So, sorry, but NO- he has not got Brexit done.

Dorries is being criticised by her own side because she hadn’t a clue.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 16:59:33

Dorries is beyond embarrassing, she simply hasn’t a clue.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 17:02:19

Sorry for repeating myself? but I’ve never heard anything like it!

JaneJudge Mon 17-Jan-22 17:02:26

she also doesn't live in or visit her constituency

EllanVannin Mon 17-Jan-22 17:11:53

Our nursing homes and hospitals have suffered since Brexit as have our farmers and hospitality sections.
Incentives to work in these areas have hit rock bottom because there's been no increase in wages to match the increases in the general living costs.

The country is a complete shambles in every way as those MP's who've been voted in to do their specific jobs---haven't.
What do any of them do ?

BlueBelle Mon 17-Jan-22 17:32:10

You’re fixated withBrexit Umstrongran well you got what you wished for to the detriment of half the country
By voting for Johnson, you have landed us in this god damn awful mess totally agree it’s killed our country and for what ?

Lucca Mon 17-Jan-22 18:32:35

How anyone can say they knew someone was untrustworthy fickle and lazy but still voted for them…..

Kali2 Mon 17-Jan-22 18:37:09

It's hard to accept, really.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 18:50:13

Assume this information has been relayed to Gray.

Blinko Mon 17-Jan-22 18:57:00

JaneJudge

she also doesn't live in or visit her constituency

So how come she gets voted in?

mokryna Mon 17-Jan-22 18:57:14

GillT57 Hopefully those people tossed on the bonfire of Johnson's vanity will spill the beans and finish him and his cronies off.

Wishful thinking but I think they may have signed the official secrets act.

Blinko Mon 17-Jan-22 18:59:02

Sorry, JJ that sounds like disbelief. It's just simple curiosity. Why on earth would anyone vote for someone who's never there? Are any of her constituents on here, I wonder?

bikergran Mon 17-Jan-22 19:13:42

Isolating or not... what is wrong with zoom meetings/calls like most of the nation had to do with their families/schools/teachers/meetings. so get on the ipad Boris , lets see you!'

He is self isolating until tomorrow isn’t he?
‘A family member’ tested positive.
But, yes. He is hiding, and yes, he is frit.

he doesn't have to self isolate if he has had two vaccinations. My husband (argh!) and son are covid positive and NHS have texted me saying I don't have to isolate, I just have to do an LFT for 7 days or until 26th January, whichever is first

Yes, but you have to remember Johnson doesn’t know what the rules are.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 19:52:25

A Downing Street source has backed up Dominic Cummings' claim that Boris Johnson was made aware in advance of a Downing Street drinks party during the first #COVID19 lockdown.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 19:52:51

If that is correct then Johnson mislead parliament.

Witzend Mon 17-Jan-22 20:07:58

He’s busy applying for a different sort of job.
Maybe this gave him the idea.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Jan-22 20:29:27

Sky now reporting that Gray’s report may be delayed.

This is becoming farcical.

Casdon Mon 17-Jan-22 20:31:37

On a lighter note, here is the Marsh Family ‘We’ll have to wait for Sue Gray’s Inquiry’
It’s brilliant, I haven’t laughed so much for ages!
