Because I find your post (and those made on similar lines by other GNetters) rather insulting to the millions of people who didn't do it and who are rightly furious to find that the PM, who made the rules blithely disregarded them, not once or twice but consistently on many occasions. You are implying that we are a load of hypocrites.

Well, I can tell you that I and my family didn't break or bend the rules, nor did anyone that I know.

People made unimaginable sacrifices because they thought that they were doing the right thing to keep their fellow citizens safe and to check the spread of a very nasty disease. People were being arrested and fined large amounts for infringement of the rules. High profile people were hounded out of their jobs for infringement of the rules And all the time those who should have been setting an example were continuously ignoring them.

So just keep your guilt to yourself.

Why are you all so cynical, it's nauseating. I'm no supporter of the Tories or Boris but nor do I think we'd be better off with Starmer. On the whole Boris and the others have done well reacting to the situation day after awful day. There shouldn't have been parties of course but before we criticise we should all look back over the last two years. But Johnson even claimed that the 'work meeting' was a welcome back for himself after his brush with covid and a thank you to Raab for holding the fort as deputy PM.

I am another one who can say, hand on heart, that I didn't break the rules. Not because I was afraid of being caught but because I honestly thought that is was the best way to suppress the virus, for the good of us all.

I didn't realise until today what a bunch of biased Labour supporters the ladies on Grandnet were, I would just like to ask when is Keir Starmer going to apologise for drinking beer in an enclosed space during lockdown, oh I forgot he was working.

I must admit I may have consumed beer in an enclosed space during lockdowns. I used to see my neighbour drinking in his shed too

I haven’t broken any COVID rules and neither has my husband! He was receiving chemo for the majority of lockdown anyway. I still haven’t even had a coffee anywhere outside our home. We didn’t meet any family, couldn’t visit Mil when she was on end of life care. Husband is due to have his 4th Covid injection next week. I am so so disgusted with Governments behaviour and folk who work in Downing Street. How can they look themselves in the mirror is beyond me. Unforgivable.

There was never any 'rule' about drinking alcohol in enclosed spaces.

Nor was there any 'rule' about not working in enclosed spaces, just guidance that said work from home if at all possible.

I think you are very confused and clutching at straws is not a good idea.
