He seems to have disappeared.

Casdon Tue 18-Jan-22 13:17:20

Gosh this thread is bringing out the best in some people isn’t it.

MerylStreep Tue 18-Jan-22 13:18:09

Maizie
No I didn’t but my Alzheimer’s friend came every Sunday for dinner, and still does.

AGAA4 Tue 18-Jan-22 13:20:21

MerylStreep I would have done the same as you if people needed help. I don't believe you broke any rules with caring responsibilities.

Those at No 10 were caring for nobody but themselves.

silverlining48 Tue 18-Jan-22 13:20:27

We havnt broken any rules either, it’s a restricted, dull life we have been living.
AC lives in Europe havnt met since 2019. Hopefully Easter but who knows.

Jaye53 Tue 18-Jan-22 13:23:41

It certainly is Casdonsmile

blossom14 Tue 18-Jan-22 13:27:00

We sat on a park bench as DH couldn't make it round the circuit without 5 minutes rest! Though we had to keep a lookout for PCO patrol.

Is it your choice not to travel to mainland Europe because of the virus, or is it the hoops you have to jump through.

He's playing hide & seek in no.10 back garden .

Bet he's got wine !!

JaneJudge Tue 18-Jan-22 13:31:39

Personally, I think if rules were to be broken it should have been in the way of providing help and support Meryl fwiw

GillT57 Tue 18-Jan-22 13:37:30

JaneJudge

I haven't either

Neither have I. But there again, I don't set the rules.

MaizieD Tue 18-Jan-22 13:38:40

Unbelievable.

Sky news has released an interview with Johnson. Transcript from Lewis Goodall on twitter

@BethRigby
: "To be clear you're saying Cummings is lying and his version of events is untrue?"

PM:"I can tell you categorically that nobody told me and nobody said that this was sthing that was against the rules or a breach of covid rules or something that wasn't a work event.."

This is the man that posters are claiming made a brilliant job of coping with the pandemic.

His government, led by him, made the rules. If you don't think that the leader of the government that made the rules should be very familiar with them there is absolutely no hope for you!

The big boys made me do it, nobody told me it was wrong.. grin

I am totally, totally, lost for words...?

Are you serious? or was that a joke. You were worried about a PCO questioning you.

I think I would have felt sorry for anyone that pulled me up on my way to my daughters. My anger was off the scale, particularly the journey I made the day after professor lockdown admitted he’d invited his girlfriend over for a bit of afternoon rumpy pumpy.

MerylStreep Tue 18-Jan-22 13:41:36

MaizieD
He can’t say anything else. He’s hanging on by his fingertips.

I didn't realise until today what a bunch of biased Labour supporters the ladies on Grandnet were, I would just like to ask when is Keir Starmer going to apologise for drinking beer in an enclosed space during lockdown, oh I forgot he was working.

Absolutely and totatlly different situations! How ridiculous to even begin to compare.

pathetic.

Curlywhirly Tue 18-Jan-22 13:48:26

I know MaizieD I watched the interview and when he said no-one told him the party was against the rules, I actually shouted at the TV " but you made the rules you bl**y dope"!!! You really couldn't make it up - someone needs to take that shovel off him, because he's just digging himself into a larger hole on a daily basis!

Nannina Tue 18-Jan-22 13:49:06

He’s just been on radio 4 1pm news denying Cummings claims he warned Boris against the parties. Cummings saying there’s more to come and he’ll testify on oath. What a pair of despicable human beings

Iam64 Tue 18-Jan-22 13:53:57

Nannina yes, Cummings and Johnson are despicable. Cummings is no longer in our employ but Johnson is. I believe he should resign. He’s a serial liar.
Cummings is out for revenge and it seems likely he has other poisonous yet true stories to tell

Joesoap Tue 18-Jan-22 14:00:11

Does Boris think because he hasnt been seen, we will forget him and his sweet talking promises.NO WAY we will be waiting for you Boris, we will never give up.

MayBee70 Tue 18-Jan-22 14:01:51

Cummings is far cleverer and more devious than the man child that we have for a PM.

Iam64 Tue 18-Jan-22 14:05:31

He is indeed MayBee70.

MerylStreep Tue 18-Jan-22 14:10:35

JudgeJane

That made me laugh. Have you had any experience of Alzheimer sufferers. What do you think I do for her.

The daughter we moved in Nov 2020 has hyper mobility syndrome. Would you have told her sorry love, your own your own cos rules is rules that wasn’t going to happen.

I could give more reasons why I broke the rules but there’s no point really, is there. Your either someone who thinks for themselves or your not: I’m the former.

MaizieD Tue 18-Jan-22 14:13:31

Well, surely we all knew that Cummings knew where the bodies were buried when he was 'exonerated' after his wee trip to Durham and the eye test journey to Barnard Castle?

JaneJudge Tue 18-Jan-22 14:13:51

Meryl, I brought my own adult daughter home who has a severe learning disability during the first lockdown. I have a lot of experience caring for people who lack mental capacity. You don't have to be so rude.

blossom14 Tue 18-Jan-22 14:14:17

Meryl it was said rather tongue in cheek. However I do remember that we were not supposed to sit on Park benches at the time.
There were PCO's patrolling in the park.

Haydnpat Tue 18-Jan-22 14:31:31

Hiding!
