Russian massing on the Ukrainian border

Agree about Russian money in London, but give credence to arguments that Putin has nothing like enough troops readily available to invade Ukraine (twice the size of France I read), and that the US supported by the feeble UK is doing more harm than good and may make provoke action in which Russia is not the aggressor.
BJ is surely going to Moscow because the situation is so bad for him at home.

That is indeed a massive worry. Johnson going it alone and not part of EU, like a bull in a China shop, à la Boris- is massively dangerous.

The U.K. is not going alone it is going with NATO, Kali2 as described in great detail by a representative of NATO on this mornings news program with Sophie Raworth (BBC1)

The rôle and importance of the UK, as a 'bridge between Europe and USA'- as been strongly dimnished by Brexit. I know you do not agree, but it is well explained here:

European Leaders, and the USA, and I believe Putin, are fully aware of this.

Johnson and Truss are not going to Ukraine to speak on behalf or for the European Union.

Other European countries are seriously worried about this. They do not trust Johnson, and they are very aware that Liz Truss is totally unexperienced. They are putting everyone at massive risk of escalation.

Neither Johnson, nor Truss, represent NATO. They are not going to Ukraine with a NATO mission. Other NATO European countries do not trust them, are very concerned about them, and do not see them in any way, shape or form, as representative of them, within NATO. They do not trust them, they are fully aware that their attitude will only enflamme and precipitate things.

The Tory leader is seen as assisting Putin's Russia by dividing Europe with an ultra-hard Brexit, souring the UK's relationship with its closest neighbour, France and weakening Britain politically.

the Conservative Party has also received massive donations from Russian Oligarchs, some in exchange for Peerage, and the Brexit campaign was stuffed with Russian donations and interference. Brexit has also allowed humongous amounts of dirty Russian money to be kept safe in London- which could not have continued if Brexit had not happened. Johnson has alos in the past joined in 'BungaBunga' parties in Italy, as guest of Russian oligarchs- who probably have some blackmail material on him from those days.

He does NOT represent the EU and the majortiy of NATO. the UK used to be a very strong and significant NATO bridge between the EU and USA. It is no longer. and is not trusted.

Neither of them have a mandate from NATO- none whatsoever.

Of course the UK is part of NATO- who said otherwise anywhere?

If you believe the media, Partygate is more high profile than the potential punch in Eastern Europe ?

If that kicks off, who had cake at a party will be the least of their worries ?

So, is Johnson planning to use his renowned diplomatic skills to provoke Putin to attack Ukraine?

That would certainly take the spotlight off his party problems.

And THIS is why other NATO members are really concerned that Johnson and Truss have taken upon themselves to 'deal with Russia'.

THEY HAVE NO MANDATE FROM NATO, AND NATO DOES NOT WANT THEM TO INFLAME THE SITUATION.

I am not shouting, just insisting.
