As if there isn't enough evidence that Johnson is unfit for office

Now we read reports that senior civil servants and ministers were having to insist that Johnson works from the office and not from home due to red boxes, many of them full of highly sensitive information, laying about in the Downing Street flat, open for all to see including Carrie's pals and friends who were frequent visitors. It has been described as a 'Frat house atmosphere', with people in and out.

Cummings “The bunker is about to collapse”

We shall see

She didn’t mince her words in her resignation letter

Someone in the Johnson team who has a moral compass.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 03-Feb-22 17:00:23

Did you read her letter!

Apparently she and her husband were very close to Johnson.

He has become impossible even to his close colleagues.

PM's policy chief, Munira Mirza has resigned over Johnson's attempts to smear Starmer. She had worked with Johnson when he was Mayor of London.

Wow! She'll be a big loss to Johnson. I don't suppose she took that decision lightly. I think her husband still works at No 10 too.

The threat of letters has made Johnson withdraw his comment re Saville. Of course he doesn’t mean it what an idiot

NEW: Johnson backs down on his Starmer Savile comments:

"I'm talking not about the leader of the opposition's personal record when he was when he was DPP and I totally understand that he had nothing to do personally with those decisions."

Cummings is now talking about illegal donations to Johnson and cabinet.

Wonder if this will be the next lot of leaks?

It is hard to work out just what it what it will take to make people wake up to the blatant corruption. We have the son of a KGB agent sitting in the House of Lords in a seat that he bought.

More lies

Johnson and Patel have been referred to the UK Statistics Authority for lying about the crime statistics in the House on Monday. Instead of a 14% drop the ONS reports there was a 14% increase.

Alegrias1 And Blackford, knowing the rules, walked out before he was escorted, knowing that he could return and not be barred

Sorry, cross post.

Perhaps Blackford should enlighten himself as to the rules of the house. Johnson did not call Starmer a liar. No I am not in the Johnson fan club. The Speaker explains.

I think Blackford could run rings around people with what he knows about the rules of the House. He broke the rules on purpose. He wanted to be asked to leave. Because now we're all taking about it.

Johnson knows the rules as well. He knows that people can tell lies about each other in the house, but you can never say to them that they are telling lies.

Welcome to democracy in 21st Century Britain.

Boris knowingly lied about Starmer. He isn’t going to get away with it, it was disgraceful behaviour, straight out of the playground.

Blackford called a spade a spade. He knows full well what the rules of the house are, and he broke them deliberately to make his point.

Thanks for pointing that out.

And the Justice Minister comes onto tv and defends Johnson for lying. ‘It’s just the cut and thrust of parliament’ he says. This is the level to which our country has stooped to.

varian Wed 02-Feb-22 18:27:10

It is quite bizarre that the Speaker admonished Ian Blackford when he told the truth - that the PM had willfully misled the House ( which we all know he has done on multiple occassions because he is a habitual liar, yet he allowed Johnson to make a disgraceful allegation about Keir Starmer based on lies from the ultra right wing trolls on the interne.t

Alexa, show me a PMQs when Johnson hasn't made false claims.

And I know this isn't what the thread's about but the solution to 1) is PR.

Gotta get the buggers out, first. ?

Yes, I know, EFTA don't want us, and I don't blame them...

Petera Wed 02-Feb-22 12:33:05

What we can do is align more closely with the EU, either with a bespoke arrangement of by joining EFTA (if they'd have us).

But that won't happen even if Johnson goes because the tory majority is commanded by the far right Brexiters and no new tory PM will be able to withstand them. If they try it will split the tory party.

The tory party has a huge problem. It has two choices.

1) Become decent, split and lose power

2) Continue to be governed by the extreme right wing and do it's best to cement an unshakeable grip on power.

I remember a conversation with a Norwegian friend about joing EFTA and, after he had stopped laughing, said that if the UK joined then the 4 EFTA states would have exactly the same amount of control as Scotland, Wales and NI now have over the UK. They'd just be swamped.

And I know this isn't what the thread's about but the solution to 1) is PR.

or by joining etc.
