watched her complain in the House with amazement! So the queues and traffic disaster in Kent is not due to Brexit, but red tape enforced by the EU. Just could not make it up - Johnson at least can organise a p*ss up! (and what an unfortunate name!).

The red tape causing the queues and so much more are entirely due to the red tape caused by the Brexit she and Johnson and co negotiated and signed!!! What can they do unilaterally to solve this?

I think some are assuming I have zero cheese knowledge, but those who have eaten a bit of cheddar are experts on world cheese. Neither of which are necessarily accurate.

You could be able to answer a cheese quiz but what about appreciating the different tastes and textures if you never eat it? It would be like asking a teetotaller to comment on wines.

The name Cheddar for a tpe of cheese doesn't have Protected Origin status so Cheddar cheese from Cheddar may have a different texture and taste from Cheddar cheese from Canada, Australia, Cornwall, Snowdonia etc

How about the Vieux Puant de Lille? According to the late Richard Boston there is a by law in Lille preventing passengers to take it into a taxi.

Been mainly off GN and other social media as away having lots of fun.

But perhaps we are digressing here from the topic of the thread- as much as I love cheese.

Just had a look at a few sites, now back home- and I am afraid it seems that many did notice her name. Rightly or wrongly.

I would tend to avoid any sites specialising in such a juvenile sense of humour.

Any puns on names are puerile and distinctly cheesy.

Cheesy def:
cheap, unpleasant, or insincere.

Yes, which is why I have apologised. However, it became clear today that I certainly was not the only one to have made the 'connection'.

Much more importantly though, every single one thought that her comment, was totally nonsensical and wrong.

Yes, you did.
We should move on and try to be more grownup than those on other sites.

Agreed.

So tell me Calli- do you believe the queues, etc, in Kent are due to Brexit, or not?

Callistemon21 Fri 11-Feb-22 22:33:04

Why else was a 66 acre lorry park at Sevington built to process lorries through all the Customs checks?

Lucca Fri 11-Feb-22 22:55:17

I still don’t get the name thing…..embarrassed at being dense.

She only became an MP in 2019.
I didn't know she was a co-negotiator on the Brexit deal and I'd not heard of her before.

Think she took over from
Her husband who was the mp after he went to prison .....
Something like that anyway.
She was rude about the young footballer Marcus Rashfotd who got involved with children’s school meals.
