Chris Bryant pointed out in parliament yesterday that it’s Ukraine, not ‘the’ Ukraine. Something I know I ‘m guilty of.I tend to think of it as being like eg ‘the Crimea’, although that’s probably wrong, too.

I hope he stays safe as I heard that Russia has charged a group with finding him and killing him.

Whitewave, I also read a special forces type group charged by Putin with finding and killing Zelensky and his wife.

The special forces should target the culprit- ie Putin not Zelenskiy!

Very dirty business. I'd have thought though that with Russia itself there must be plans afoot to deal with Putin. He's causing massive problems for the Russian people with his deluded behaviour.

The most flippant people I have ever met have been members of our armed forces in the days before deployment to war zones.

Their humour is dark, but it’s what gets them through.

Zelenskyy is a law graduate. I'm going to refer to him as that now. That, or the voice of Paddington Bear. Or the winner of Strictly.

Or maybe just President Zelenskyy. The guy showing other Heads of State what that job really means.
