Dreadful floods in Australia

We are having the worst floods for many years in Queensland and North New South Wales. Several have died already and several places have been evacuated. It looks truly shocking.

It isn’t getting any better, really bad flooding round Sydney now. Lots of people who can’t go home, several dead.

I have been following what is also happening in the Sydney area nanna. A close friend of DD’s lives in the area as does our SiL’s brother and his wife who is seven months pregnant and homeless at present.

We are in close contact with all of them. My heart goes out to each and everyone who is caught up in this nightmare. ?
DD is currently looking for a property to rent in the meantime.

I'm not watching news at the moment but my son says he hasn't seen much mention of this. Strange. Guess Ukraine has wiped much else out but very strange and so sad and awful.
