As parents and grandparents one would hope that Parish and and his defender wife understood the concept of parental controls and adult filters on devices including smart phones. Once upon a time you could easily find searches returned unexpected results - didn't mean you had to look at them though. Nowadays, they are easy to filter out.

I suggest that Darren Tierney, Director General Propierty and Ethics (who took over from fined Whitehall karoake party queen Helen MacNamara) starts doing his job. Maybe he could start with an easy workshop on smart phone settings.

He’s not a public school boy. He went to an agricultural school. Very wholesome, I should think.

Oldnproud, I am sure that many staff meetings I led over the years would have been seen by the staff (and me, sometimes,) as unproductive - oh the ? yawn inducing government/Ofsted cr##p- but I wouldn't have allowed people to use their phones to watch porn/ cats doing funny things/ order something from Amazon...
