My mum had her third stroke at 59 yearswhich left her unable to speak , eat or move. She died 2 months later. It was 24 years ago. I hope Meghan's father can move and at least eat because if he can't then that will be horrific for him. Hopefully he recovers but some strokes cause too much brain damage. I hope Meghan goes and visits him, buy that is up to her to decide.

I'm making assumptions but I get the impression most Gransetters are white and I will bet my bottom dollar that Meghan knows more about racism than we* do (or the Royal family does)

She's got the cameras with her as she visited the site of the dreadful massacre of all those children and teachers in Texas--- but cant find it in her to visit her father!! And he hasnt even met his grandkids---spiteful woman in my opinion This is the man who paid for her private education AND got her work in the film industry in which he worked.

I don’t recall reading anything that said Thomas Markle was bad. Nothing. He supported and was there for her her whole life. She objected to something he had done/not done. What about the lifetime he loved and supported her, the things she wrote about him whilst young, all complimentary. I doubt she will go to him, after all there’s only on member of the whole family she speaks to, her mother. So everyone else is wrong are they? I feel sorry for Thomas he loves her so much, regardless of how she turned out. No a daughter to be proud of, but he is. All this strain on top of his heart problems has got to have put immeasurable pressure on him. He’s never met his grandchildren, how spiteful. I wish him well and peace, because he has had little.

Meghan is too busy taking her Netflix film crew to the awful tragedy in Avalde to pose by the memorial to the children to be with her father. She flew 1300 miles to do it in a private jet. She is a fame hungry and desperate for content. Her poor father, what a monster he begat.

Now he’s in a bad way and going to need care for months but instead of going to see her dad while she still got a chance she pretending not to see camera putting some flowers for those poor kids. But when her dad is gone she will wish I could turn back time. Same as when our queen or prince Charles goes Harry will wish he hadn’t slagged his family off. We all fall out with family and friends etc but we don’t go write a book or moan on tv about them.

Today she had a whole Netfix crew with her, she was posing, she flew there in a private jet and she is a monstrosity in the eyes of God. I always thought it very discourteous of Harry that he never bothered to make the effort to meet her father prior to the marriage. If her father had been a Duke would he not have made at least one visit, however far away he lived?

To be honest, and yes I know it sounds harsh but it couldn’t care less whether she visits or not. Obviously I hope he recovers but I’m sick and tired of hearing how “poor Meghan” has suffered so badly, has been hounded by the press, had such a miserable childhood, blah blah blah. They moved to “Canada” to get away from the evil British media (and to be fair, I could understand that) but then it suddenly changed to buying a house in the middle of Paparazzi central and signing up to any bit of attention they could possibly get. So since that, I have no sympathy or time for either of them. Rant over. Hope you all have a lovely day.

Sorry to be cynical.

I don’t take much interest in the shenanigans of the Sussexes, I must admit. Unfortunately I am assailed by media headlines all too often. No idea about the truth of the story, it’s their business. However, due to the oversharing of personal information by her sidekick, Harry, about his family and the blatant ingratitude towards a father who has made mistakes but who has tried to put things right, I am very sceptical about much of the Meghan saga. It jars rather nastily with their much vaunted and overstated ethos of humanitarianism and compassion. Personally, I was taught that kindness begins at home! I also am amused by their projected appearance at the thanksgiving for the Queen’s Jubilee when, presumably, they will pay lip service only to the Christian concept of forgiveness, something that neither have demonstrated whatsoever.

Or is coming here next week the perfect excuse, in her mind, to avoid visiting her poor father?
Who knows how that woman’s mind works, but failing to visit him will just confirm the opinion that a lot of us have of her.
