Apparently he’s unable to speak, but it is very early days so time will tell how well he recovers.
I do feel for this man. Yes he was very foolish to get involved with the paparazzi prior to the wedding but then he has repeatedly apologised, and has acknowledged how very stupid it was to trust them.

Anyway perhaps this will mark the turning point with Meghan as she will surely be rushing to his bedside.

Is the Queen an abusive family member Violet Sky ?

Was Megan trying to communicate on Oprah interview?

Do you believe they did get married in a garden, no witnesses and the Arch Bishop carried out the ceremony?

Do you believe she cried without layers of eye makeup smudging ?

Meghan cannot go to see her father she very busy in Texas laying flowers ..
...................... ........
Meghan lays bouquet of white 'peace' roses at memorial to 21 victims of primary school shooting and gives food to blood donation centre workers during 'private' whistle-stop visit to Texas town of Uvalde 'that she wanted to keep secret'

I always thought the Peace Rose was creamy yellow with a pinky red middle. hmm
My mum was very proud of hers.

VioletSky and I usually disagree on most things. However, I have to say, I 100% agree with her post at 23.35.

MM will certainly have experienced some colour racism and also some anti-American snobbery in the RF. Much of it will have been very discreet but it will have been there. God forbid I should mention that awful woman, Princess Michael of Kent, but she is the most obvious manifestation of those sorts of attitudes.

However, I don't think the Queen will have been one of the people indulging in that nastiness. I am a republican but I think the Queen has always taken her role exceptionally seriously. In addition, I think she values the commonwealth so much, so doesn't have those entrenched bigotries. Phillip did and will have passed some of that to his children. Not to mention, the court circles, including the staff. Racism isn't just an individual thing, it is institutional and a seam of it runs through most British institutions.

Isn't Charles the one that is reputed to have wondered about the colour of Archie before he was born? QE should have had an exceptionally strong word with him. She is, after all, the boss.

Oops - pinky edges , creamy yellow middle, not the other way round.
Not white anyway!

Glorianny Fri 27-May-22 10:30:45

I think some people fail to understand that politeness is something the British are trained to do but it may mask underlying racism. People will shake hands, smile politely and make conversation but that doesn't mean they see the person they are speaking to as their equal. The RF are experts at it.

Blue blood?

White is the colour of peace. There is a difference between a Peace Rose which is a specific sort of rose, and white "peace" roses which are a symbol of peace.
But it's MM so she's sure to be wrong isn't she? Perhaps as the mother of young children she just wanted to show how she felt.

Exactly Glorianny. Easily done if you're English.

This looks like more than a polite smile, it looks like genuine friendship.
Apparently, Nelson Mandela was one of the very few people who called her Elizabeth.

When Lilibet met Michelle:

I think most people of whatever race, colour, creed, would receive a polite smile, perhaps a handshake but some people develop a rapport.

OMG not the old chestnut "I can't be racist cos my best friend is black"!!
One swallow doesn't make a summer you know.

Smileless2012 Fri 27-May-22 10:48:24

Isn't Charles the one that is reputed ...... no idea GagaJo but of course if you make the accusation but wont name the one(s) responsible, the number of people it could have been, if it happened at all is pretty extensive isn't.

They claimed it was racism behind Archie not being given a title, which is totally false. Perhaps as with this, they assumed that something(s) were racist when they weren't, and hadn't intended to be.

We simply don't know because we weren't there but what we do know is that they lie.

M wanted to keep her visit to Ulvalde private and yet, there was a photographer there. What are the odds of that just happening to be the case; a mere coincidence? Her body guard was there, why didn't he stop the photo's being taken bearing in mind she wanted to keep the visit private?

It's BS. Appalling to have to be 'seen' doing something for publicity particularly when the incident saw the murder of children and two of their teachers who were trying to protect them.

And all this is to do with Mr Markle's stroke how...?

Pantglas2 Fri 27-May-22 10:51:22

“OMG not the old chestnut "I can't be racist cos my best friend is black"!!”

I hate that one too Glorianny! Along with ‘I’m black so I can’t be racist’ and proceeding to tell everyone in the group how the Jews are taking over the world! Happened in my local last night!

Exactly what I was wondering. It must be very difficult for him and I hope he has someone to take care of him.

Strange, isn't it.
I fell down someone's rabbithole. Apologies.

Yes, I hope so too, hope he gets good care and rehabilitation.
He made some mistakes but none of us is infallible.

But some of the things we seem to have to swallow these days can make you choke. .

Anniebach Fri 27-May-22 11:14:26

Megan’s claim of racism in the royal family is true regardless of
the lies she told in the same interview ?

Smileless2012 Fri 27-May-22 11:20:11

That's the problem isn't it Annie to know when they're telling the truth and when they're not.

Glorianny Fri 27-May-22 11:34:44

If you watch the clip of MM laying her flowers she does her best to avoid the photographer. And does anyone seriously imagine that there won't be photographers hanging around this memorial hoping to get a shot of someone (celebrity, grieving relative, anyone) they can then sell?
How many GNers have expressed their sorrow about the events? But MM isn't permitted that? I can actually understand why Harry wouldn't want to go. Too great a reminder of the flowers left for his mother.

Yes Smileless did the Arch Bishop and registrar lie, and they
did get married before the wedding in St.George’s Chapel.

Did she cry at an event when the lights were down yet no smudged eye makeup when the lights went up .

Was she refused treatment for depression yet other members of the family had treatment.

Smileless2012 Fri 27-May-22 11:59:00

The scales aren't exactly tipped in her favour are they Annie.
