I love GB News

I recently started watching GB News and am finding it so interesting. Once you get past the different format to the usual news programmes it is very good. There are so many different views expressed from all political spectrums. I like that contributors are allowed to say their piece and it's then debated. Not just left or right wing views.

It seems to have been successful in attracting the "underbelly" of older, anti-woke viewers.

You couldn’t be more wrong.
I think a lot a viewers like the fact that many of the presenters take an irreverent view of politicians and politics.
Eamon Holmes take on Rishi Sunak can be laugh out loud.

GB News has overtaken Sky News in the viewing ratings and is not far behind the BBC now. I think people enjoy a good discussion, enjoy seeing new faces and admire people who stick two fingers up at all this woke nonsense.

Eamonn just had me laughing out loud about kids who identify as cats. His advice was “wise up kid. If you think you’re a cat, feel like a cat, want to be a cat ….. here’s a saucer of milk.” 🤣🤣

You wouldn’t hear that on the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation! BBC. 😝

Another good reason to watch GB News is the gorgeous journalist/reporter Paul Hawkins.

Not only is he extremely easy on the eye but he is a great reporter.

To repeat the earlier rebuttal of GB News viewership exceeding BBC News viewing figures earlier on the thread Primrose53. - what you’ve posted isn’t true. It’s a snapshot of an occasion, not a consistent viewer number report over a period. Here’s another explanation.

Actually all the GBNEWS team were celebrating two weeks ago at their viewing figures and being voted most popular news channel or similar - must admit I wasn’t paying much attention at the time.

It’s all very well that some keep putting them down but they are doing well. I watch every morning and really like Eamonn and Isabel.

Makes a change from all the other channels, with a very wide variety of guests. They were having a few teething problems (technical) in the beginning, but these have largely disappeared.

My OH likes to watch it, mostly Farage in the evening. Farage, and others on GB News have been nominated for a News Presenter award.

I hope that non of the naysayers ever need any of the £55,000 which Patrick Christy has personally raised for the charity MIND.

Well good for him! Still wont change my view of GB News. They pay Rees Mogg £800 an hour enough said. Who funds GB news???

JudyBloom Tue 20-Jun-23 18:46:04

GB News is the best news channel in this country. They discuss issues that the mainstream channels don't want us to know and they don't try to tell us what to think. They are also not afraid to listen to all views whether they be left or right.

Shinamae Tue 20-Jun-23 19:07:25

Farage on now, brilliant..

lemsip Tue 20-Jun-23 19:57:52

The channel is described as right-leaning on political issues. It is jointly owned by hedge fund manager Sir Paul Marshall and investment firm Legatum under the umbrella of a holding company, All Perspectives Ltd, which is headquartered in London.

Very true.

This is very interesting. Stephen Dixon is a really nice, unbiased guy and came to GB News after 21 years at Sky News.

Hmmm ... how do you know I'm wrong?

It was a comment on the GN members who enjoy GB News and fit that demographic.

How bloody rude!
Maybe you should “grow” some manners !!

Oreo Thu 22-Jun-23 15:08:00

Yeah, bloody rude for sure and a typical SM insult thrown around to those who have a different opinion.

tickingbird Thu 22-Jun-23 15:16:46

Typical response when someone’s lost the argument. I love it that GB News and anything that a certain underbelly of GN members hate does well. As the Americans say “suck it up”. grin

Oreo Thu 22-Jun-23 15:20:17

I have loads of straws tickingbird to hand out to anyone who needs one😂

Joseann Thu 22-Jun-23 15:26:58

Especially when someone has said they dont have a tv! grin

Mollygo Thu 22-Jun-23 15:31:59

We’ve watched GB a few times, but it’s not on the ‘must watch’ list. I dislike Holmes as much as I dislike Farage.
It’s bit like the Huffington Post, which has some interesting articles. I can’t comment on what it says on Wikipedia, because I’m reminded that it’s not written by experts.
