I love GB News

I recently started watching GB News and am finding it so interesting. Once you get past the different format to the usual news programmes it is very good. There are so many different views expressed from all political spectrums. I like that contributors are allowed to say their piece and it's then debated. Not just left or right wing views.

I could say the same thing to you lemsip

Whenever someone claims to be in favour of free speech these days, I always mentally add “free to be talking total bollocks” and maintain a polite distance.

I watched GB news channel most of yesterday as too hot to go out!
Pleasantly surprised at the varied debates...Enjoyed angela rippon interviewing people about their lives as you may find on radio4. It's a channel for free speech with many people heading debates which I enjoyed.
eamonn holmes is a lost cause and lost the plot but so many.

You were pleasantly surprised at the varied debates.
I was agreeing with that.
The snobbery comment was not aimed at you but at the sniffy remarks generally made about GB News, mainly by those who have never really watched it.

Whenever someone criticises the idea of free speech I think oh theres someone who is authoritarian and I maintain a polite distance.

Nigel Farage has won news presenter of the year at the TRIC awards….
Bring on the haters! 😂😂

Namsnanny Tue 27-Jun-23 16:38:21

GB news has won several awards. The Breakfast Show won, and
Nigel Farage has won the Tric award for presenter of the year.

Please don’t apologise…😁..

Apparently the media attending the awards heckled and booed Nigel Farage.
Because it was an award voted for by the audience, I suppose.
Such arrogance.

I know, I’m watching it now. Their behaviour was absolutely disgusting but he handled it so well…..👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks for that link. It helps to know the background of people in the public eye.

Well done Nigel, just like Brexit the silent majority have voted as for booing, sad losers. Empty vessels make the most noise.

Shinamae Tue 27-Jun-23 19:06:21

Very well done, Nigel.
I was always told to lose with good Grace. Obviously that message has not got through to the despicable audience at the awards ceremony.

Yes, I’m wondering that,he is the mayor of Manchester isn’t he? 🤔

Namsnanny Tue 27-Jun-23 19:28:06

So I thought.
To be honest, I'm happy for them to interview anyone with any views who want to be heard.
I always think, I've lost nothing by listening, and who knows, I might learn something.

MerylStreep Tue 27-Jun-23 19:29:58

I think what some of us are trying to say, is: the perception on here seems to be that everyone who appears on GBNews is to the right of Attilla the hun, when they’re not.

Well I don't know who you're referring to MS, this thread or GN as a whole?
But I would definitely judge the heckling at the awards as coming from people who had mis judged the channel in exactly the way you described.
