He has announced he will be looking to be the next pm.

maddyone Fri 08-Jul-22 18:36:13

Oh no timetogo please just no.

Riverwalk Fri 08-Jul-22 18:40:05

Hard to think of anyone really, maybe Ben Wallace - reliable former army officer type.

Same here maddyone.
I have a feeling Jacob Rees Mogg will try his luck.

No chance!

Even he wouldn't be so stupid to think he had any chance, mind you Braverman's up for it. Talk about delusional.

MissAdventure Fri 08-Jul-22 18:43:23

I'm sure I saw somewhere that Patel wants to try, too.

Kandinsky Fri 08-Jul-22 19:00:38

Has Dominic Raab thrown his hat in the ring yet?
I must admit I have a slight crush on him ( especially after that sexy wink ) blushgrin

Riverwalk Fri 08-Jul-22 19:03:55

It wasn't sexy! He was putting Angela Rayner in her place in a very patronising manner.

I think he's not running - has a very marginal seat anyway.

Iam64 Fri 08-Jul-22 19:36:13

Gawd, Raab’s sad, timid, pathetic wink at Angela was meant to patronise . Big Fail.
Raab has to be high on anyone’s list of not in the least attractive politicians

Casdon Fri 08-Jul-22 19:48:04

Raab is the spit of Geoffrey Fairbrother, the hapless manager of Maplins in Hi de Hi, every time I see him I think he really doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing.

MissAdventure Fri 08-Jul-22 19:52:22

grin

Colour me shocked he’s put his hat in the ring. He is corrupt as the rest of the cabinet of gothic horrors (My line up of hated horrors, Rishi, the haunted Victorian pencil, the cartoon villain Priti, Dopey (Raab) and the crazed Nadine…. ) I can’t imagine many voting for him in the next GE.

You’re a nice person. Do you have many friends I wonder.

Kandinsky Fri 08-Jul-22 20:17:49

Well he could wink at me any day of the week.

Oldbat1 Fri 08-Jul-22 20:32:08

Can’t believe this is true but dh has just read Dorries intends to run - omg surely not it must be a joke.

DillytheGardener Fri 08-Jul-22 20:43:29

I’m very social and have a wide circle of friends, but thank you for your concern.

This jesters court of fools laid waste to the reputation of this country, emptying our public purse to fill their friends and Tory donors pockets in a breathtaking display of shameless corruption, they are beyond the pale, and I think given this my scathing views on them are very mild considering.

Luckygirl3 Fri 08-Jul-22 20:52:15

It is a shame that any women who might consider standing are not up to scratch.

MayBee70 Fri 08-Jul-22 20:55:39

I believe he’s said if he’s PM he’s going to sort out the economy. I don’t see how given that he couldn’t do it when he was chancellor confused

RichmondPark Fri 08-Jul-22 20:56:23

Ohhh Kandinsky you've proved that there is someone for everyone.

It seems it’s not a joke. It’s reported in the Telegraph, Independent and DM. She wants to keep his legacy alive ???

Well she’s eaten ostrich anus before, so it won’t be new to her at least.

Yammy Fri 08-Jul-22 21:14:58

I think it should be someone who hasn't been in any of BoJos cabinets. At the moment I can't think of anyone the old guard are too old .Pity William Hague was made leader when he was too young and Micheal Howard always seemed an honourable man.

I nearly collapsed laughing at your comment. You’re right, he is a look alike grin

Kinsi10 Sat 09-Jul-22 06:34:14

Not Rishi Sunak, no. I think he is sly and underhand. Or as my Mum would have said 'all top show'

Katie59 Sat 09-Jul-22 06:50:47

Sunak is not right for PM but he is odds on favourite with the bookies, JRM no chance, Zahawi please no.
Ben Wallace now 4/1 seems vanilla but who knows

Maudi Sat 09-Jul-22 07:28:08

I liked Sunak at first thought he was genuine but after he failed to back Boris up last time and then this time resigning instead of supporting Boris who gave him his job as Chancellor and put him in the spotlight in the first place, I think he is a back stabber and snake.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 09-Jul-22 07:41:04

Hey
@RishiSunak
apparently you want to give people the kind of opportunities your family were given in being welcomed to the UK. So when can we expect a promise to reverse the Rwanda policy? And can we also have a crackdown on non doms please? Thanks. Have a nice day

AC

I love the way he is saying that he will re-build the economy.

Remind me who has been chancellor for the past 3 years?
