Here's the Tatler piece. With examples of her work

I prefer paint tbh but also think it's down to personal taste and who am I to criticise I'd certainly get pretty peeved if people criticised my taste. You decorate to please yourself not the masses.

I don’t share Carrie Johnson’s taste in wallpaper or husbands.

I’m afraid I hate all wallpaper whatever it costs. I’m sure you can buy wallpaper that looks good and is much cheaper and still get what you want. However each to their own, it’s not my taste at all.

I’d spend my life counting the squares on that! ??

wallpaper for a hallway?

It's SO much nicer on the "Soan Britain" website to be honest.

My interior design taste would make Liberace roll in his grave, and even I think that’s hideous.

I think I’ll stick to my M+S fleecy dressing gown for winter, and M+S cotton dressing gown for summer.

Maddy sorry, am I missing something?

I’ve recently been thinking about a wallpaper and fabric which was really popular in the 70’s.
It was huge pink and white 60’s type graphic flowers.
I think it also come in orange.
My Nan had it in her spare bedroom where I slept.
It was on the walls, curtains and bedspread.

I meant to add a smile to my comment to Maddy - I hope that I didn’t sound rude. I didn’t mean to blush

FannyCornforth Sun 10-Jul-22 06:39:24

This is the nearest that I can find

FannyCornforth Sun 10-Jul-22 06:45:10

This is it! It was from Marks, no surprise there. I don’t think that my family ever bought anything that wasn’t from M&S

Very 60s Fanny.
I think Maddyone was referring to the picture of the dressing gown that looked like Carrie's wallpaper and cost the same!
Laura Ashley often has prints with a trellis effect and a geometric style. Not too pricey either.

FannyCornforth Sun 10-Jul-22 07:25:08

Joseanne oh, I see, thank you!
I looked at the wallpaper on the Soane website, and I immediately thought of Laura Ashley too.
But in my experience LA wallpaper is terrible quality - really thin and tips easily.

Fanny
I was responding to an earlier post about patterned dressing gowns smile

maddyone Sun 10-Jul-22 11:14:28

Yes, you’re right Joseanne

AmberSpyglass Sun 10-Jul-22 14:15:29

Fanny That pattern is very in now - lots of (younger) women’s clothes esp dresses use it!

FannyCornforth Sun 10-Jul-22 15:52:11

Amber - oh, I know! It’s fab isn’t it!
I’m intrigued by your decor choice that would make Liberace blush!
Tell me more!
