They are not policies. They are sound bites and pronouncements that Truss will have to disown. This thread being about Johnson, I was saying he will be there and paid, not to do an MP's job - I doubt he could - but to undermine her.

All we can hope is that he gets more than 10 days suspension. I cannot think that his constituents feel he has worked for them. Also he only has a small majority.

Johnson is waiting. With the new PM anointed, this walking ego will see his job as undermining her. She - it looks as if it will be she - will have to about turn so quickly her head will spin. From appealing to a tiny, mainly old, mainly white, often racist, mainly male selectorate, she will have to go back on so many things she has said as she now attempts to appeal to general voters. These being the general voters she has often slapped in the face to get the leadership.

They say you cannot kid a kidder. In the same way, a simple liar will not be able to outwit the greatest narcissistic liar in our parliamentary history. He will see his only job as undermining his successor, thus protecting his very, very large ego.

They're taken seriously because they value honesty, integrity, a work ethic, observing the law and having care for the populace, in a country's leader.

Johnson violates every single one of those qualities. He has also achieved nothing good during his term of office.

Announcing that you were going to wind us up puts a question mark over the statement following that announcement. I.e was it a genuine opinion or was it just a wind up?

It's also very difficult to take anyone seriously who thinks that Johnson has been a good PM...

Bodgejob is still PM, the country is in crisis and he has gone on his holidays, again. Starmer is Leader of the Opposition and as such is not (yet) responsible for the country.
