Breaking news: Rather than erect a statue to commemorate Boris Johnson’s illustrious premiership - a sewage outfall at Bexhill beach has been named after the politician. A spokesman said “this conduit of effluent will become his lasting memorial.”

The dog on the right will probably be blamed for making a mess!

Dr Amir Khan GP

Now raw sewage is being dumped into our waterways, I will routinely be asking any patient coming in with:

Eye/ear infections
New skin rashes
Diarrhoea/vomiting
Abdominal pain
Urinary tract infections
+more

Have you been swimming in the local river/sea recently?

90% of the devices used by water companies to monitor sewage discharges are either not working or are not installed. The aren't even monitoring the extent of the problem.

Stanley Johnson, the prime minister's father, blamed his son's administration for the sewage problem, saying it should have been pressed harder.

Linking the problem to Brexit, he said Britain's beaches got a "clean up" after joining the European Union in 1973. Without the "EU push", he added, the UK faces a "very dangerous and difficult situation".

Never a truer word vegansrock, we are up to our necks in shit both actual and political !! I would write to my MP (yes you, Duncan Baker, MP for North Norfolk) but I've done that twice and never had a reply. They are all too busy trying to keep their bums on the back benches.

Given what we are talking about, I suspect my mind is imagining quite the wrong thing since I read the words "it should have been pressed harder". blush

Though 'it' would at least take up less space if it was more compacted!

Perhaps there could be a series of Johnson's around the coast.

I did laugh a lot at how appropriate this would be.

The actual situation is horrendous, though.

Thanks esspee, I don’t twitter so missed this. Well said four Peter.

Venessa Feltz on the JVine show has a 3 min section on the extent of sewage disposal into our seas and rivers. Yet another example of the Conservative government allowing their pals to maximise profit, fail to invest in or improve essential services. Water should be nationalised
