Yes, let’s. I really don’t understand all the nastinesses and vindictiveness that is flung at them. It’s certainly changed my opinion of some people.

nadateturbe Tue 13-Sept-22 10:39:32

I wholeheartedly agree.
I believe what Harry says. Why would he lie?
He is doing his best to have a happy life with his wife and children.
None of us does things perfectly. Who are we to judge?
Perhaps people could be kind to him and Meghan.

Fleurpepper Tue 13-Sept-22 10:45:12

hear hear - honestly, I just cannot believe some of the comments I've read recently on GN. I never met The Queen, but I am sure she would have hated and been thoroughly disgusted and hurt if she had access to GN.

True respect is quiet and silent.

Jaberwok Tue 13-Sept-22 10:47:00

Perhaps they could have been kinder to the late Queen?
perhaps they could at least postpone these memoirs that appear to be a threat? Why would Harry lie? Why indeed !!

Harris27 Tue 13-Sept-22 10:55:39

If this could heal a rift and not let it go on the queen would rest easier in peace. Just my thoughts.

icanhandthemback Tue 13-Sept-22 11:00:38

How anyone can watch that and not feel empathy for their situation, I don't know. I am sure Meghan and Harry have their flaws grappling with an horrendous situation along with trauma from their childhoods which sometimes makes them seem as if they are sticking their knife into the Royal Family, but I believe they are seeing more clearly than the other members of the family who have almost been brainwashed by the Institution. Saying that William and Charles are trapped by the Firm is actually true so why anybody thinks that is disloyal, I don't know.

The best break would be to ignore them.
Completely.

Have Charles and William said they are trapped ?

volver Tue 13-Sept-22 11:17:13

Stockholm Syndrome.

Daddima Tue 13-Sept-22 11:19:12

I know nothing at all about who said/did what, as, like everyone else, any information comes from the British media, so I would never take it as gospel. Here, Harry says he felt ‘trapped’, but I wonder if he still feels ‘trapped’, but this time it’s by the fear that his wife may take her own life?
I wonder if many of the photos of him looking glum are chosen for that very reason, hence the posts on social media saying he now looks so unhappy?

volver Tue 13-Sept-22 11:21:06

Yesterday Piers Morgan tweeted that Harry should "rein his wife in"

This is what they are putting up with.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 13-Sept-22 11:26:55

This poison and hounding is not going to end well.

They are better off living in the USA .

westendgirl Tue 13-Sept-22 11:28:28

What is the Stockholm Syndrome ?
I really am quite brain fugged , having read the comments on the H&M post.
Why all this pearl clutching about words dating from 16century ?
Can't you accept that families do fall out, but at moments like this they usually pull together, although not for most of, in the gaze of thousands some of whom are waiting for mistakes to be made.( I suppose when that happens they drop stitches,)This is a bereaved family. Let them mourn .

westendgirl Tue 13-Sept-22 11:30:12

Summerlove Tue 13-Sept-22 11:32:36

Don’t you remember how many people said that Meghan’s suicidal thoughts were a lie?

People are desperate to believe the worst.

Anniebach Tue 13-Sept-22 11:37:17

She may have had suicidal thoughts but I do not believe she
couldn’t get medical treatment

Pantglas2 Tue 13-Sept-22 11:40:52

I agree that there needs to be a resetting and moving on from the Queens death - a fresh start with no harping back, on either side, is the best way to reconcile..

Whitewavemark2 Tue 13-Sept-22 11:46:36

As I’ve said this constant negativity, spite and poison means this is not going to end well.

The press have been hounding Meghan since day 1 of her arrival in the U.K. On day 8 Harry asked the press to stop. It has never happened.

Harry is clearly a damaged individual, and his concern over his wife is totally understandable, but if you factor in his history it makes it even more imperative that we are careful over how we treat his wife.

Namsnanny Tue 13-Sept-22 11:52:37

And how will his book help the situation?

Boz Tue 13-Sept-22 12:01:34

I would hate to fall out with the Press/Media , They have tremendous power and little sentiment in making money from the constant hounding of a hate figure; especially a Royal.
This need to make money out of your connection never works well. Remember how Sophie Wessex was scammed when she worked; Edward made to look a fool over his venture into Showbusiness and Fergie scammed and ridiculed over her money making activities?

Smileless2012 Tue 13-Sept-22 12:16:50

I don't see how it can Namsnanny and if there's to be any hope for a reconciliation it needs to remain unpublished.

Namsnanny Tue 13-Sept-22 12:22:10

I agree Smileless only time will tell.
