I'm out to lunch otherwise I would have watched (or tried to). I'm not a fan but she must be one very lonely and sad person at the moment. Oh, I know many people will say she set herself up for it but the more I learn of the awful powers behind the throne the more I become aware of how much people manipulation is going on. Always like this? I don't know but it certainly seems hideous to me now.

The Conservatives are ruthless at times like this. Much as I dislike her for the damage she’s done to this country I do fear for what this is doing to her.

Never mind PMQs on Wednesday, any prime minister worth his/her salt would be sitting beside the new chancellor this afternoon - after all he is announcing the mother of all U-turns on tax and spending.

I wonder if Truss will show up.

She could always swan off to an international meeting and send Therese Coffee instead, ha ha.

If she doesn’t front PMQ I think she will be gone within the next two weeks, because it will be a sure sign that she can’t be trusted.

It is UG. I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse. I'm going to garden and get away from it all.

Urgent Question this afternoon before the Chancellor's statement. "To ask the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on the replacement of the Chancellor of the Exchequer during the current economic situation."

Who will answer?

Isn’t it Wednesday? Not that another 24 hours will help her much. I can well imagine the howls of derision she will have to face. I admit to feeling a little sorry for her. But the Tories are in so many split camps. If her backers manage to reassure her adequately she may brazen it out. It could go either way in the next few days though.

Just that, really. If she does, I may hide behind the sofa. I think it will be unbearable.
