Liz Truss has not turned up to today’s parliamentary statement by Jeremy Hunt- Penny Mordant is taking question son her behalf. The political commentator on the radio said it’s because she wouldn’t have got through it. Not a good look.

She returned to no.10 to pack her toothbrush in her overnight bag which she really should not have bothered to unpack.

She also should say goodbye to Larry the cat.

Which is more worrying?

That she's scared to be there, or that she's attending some meeting or call that is even more important than this and is making important decisions? ☹️

Oh dear all this would be funny if it wasn't so serious. Can you believe what's happened to British politics lately? It's just a incredible. The Conservative party are just a joke now. How she ever got elected in the first place I'll never know.

Mordant repeatedly said she was unable to attend due to urgent business. Then Truss appeared and sat down. Hasn’t said anything yet. Hunt has just started speaking
